That’s a shockingly high figure.I’m one of the 80% having thought of it,please don’t do it,it does get better.

    1. Again Sinead, you somehow manage to make it about you

Again Graham, you somehow manage to spout off about me.You don’t know me,you know nothing about me.I commented here to show there is alight at the end of the tunnel.

    2. Sinead, how do you always manage to make it about you? Have you ever written a comment without ‘I’ or ‘me’ in it?

    80%? that’s simply shocking

  3. Two comments so far calling the figure “shockingly high”; however, having been suicidal since I was 13- in large part because I was a trans teenager whose mother and several psychiatrists in a row ignored and denied that I was trans… I’m not surprised at all.
I can only hope the publication of this study pushes the HSE to deliberately hire and retrain psychiatrists and counselors whose job it is to be sensitive to the needs of trans people, who as a demographic and as individuals have endured years (even decades) of abuse at the hands of medical professionals, except where they were ignored entirely.
