All men persecuted for having sex with other men should be pardoned, not only Alan Turing. This is the only possible valid reason for objecting the bill, but I fear that this Tory mp has other things in mind. If it is convenient then pardon Alan Turing first and then the other men. But don’t forget them!

Chope is a bloody religious nutter and a pompous arse hole of a lawyer. He voted against the marriage bill and said some pretty vile things. It doesn’t surprise me he held up this bill. A homophobe is a homophobe! Typical old school bigoted Tory.
