  1. It’s about time that Anglican Mainstream and the Christian Institute were classified as hate groups.

  2. “Homosexual orientation and practice – what did Jesus say? Straight, gay, bisexual – what about ex-gay and post-gay? ‘Don’t want to be gay anymore? Sorry we’re not allowed to help you!’ Is that ethical?”

I very much doubt they would draw a crowd with a question(s?) like that. Such a word-fest!

  3. “Homosexual orientation and practice – what did Jesus say?”

Jesus didn’t say anything, that’s the whole point these people keep missing :P

  4. The only people it’s likely fo attract are those who’ve been brainwashed by religion to believe their ‘god-given’ sexuality is a ‘sin’. Seems to me the people advocating the legitimacy of gay cure therapists are those who are unhappy with their own sexuality. They should just learn to accept themselves for whom they are. And I wonder if there are any religious cure therapies?

“Homosexual orientation and practice – what did Jesus say?”

I think that if you read your “good book” you will find that he said absolutely nothing on the subject.

You will find however that very same book states “suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.” – 1 Timothy 2:12

    Reconcile that, stupid brainwashed woman.

And still the government refuses to ban it. Just tweeted MP Geraint Davies about it. Was hoping Sandra Osborne was on Twitter but isn’t. Both have introduced bills to ban it but government not doing anything about it.

  7. Why does “Anglican” Mainstream (sic) continue to pollute the Anglican Communion by its presence? Why don’t they goosestep off and join a fundamentalist sect instead of proselytising for its narrow, ignorant brand of pseudo-Christianity?

  8. There are laws against using heroin and cocaine because it is bad for your health and damages people. The same can be said for “gay cure” therapies. Why the double standard then in not banning this vile practice which damages som many vulnerable young people?

  9. Anglican Mainstream is a bit of a mouthful – how about a shorter snappier name like Anglican Hate ?

“Sorry Mr Tom Daley. You are broken and clearly in need of fixing. God will do that for you.”

Given the support Tom has garnered today, let’s see these gay cure freaks try that in there brochure.

These people are NOT christians, simply bigots hiding behind bibles.

Stupid mad bitch. What I want to know is why there isn’t more pressure on the Charity Commission to prevent these “charities” from operating. More should be done to look at how they are breaking human rights laws, and where they get their money from. They are first and foremost “hate” groups, NOT charities. Swallow your bible, you stretched perma-tanned cow!

  12. And that Welby guy has this to say about this “Anglican” group misusing his religion:
    ” ”
    (crickets)

  13. If I were to set up a ‘charity’ advertising ethnic minority-white ‘cures’ I would, quite rightly, be classified as a hate group. The exact same should be applied here.

  14. Seems like we’ll have to picket that conference as there will a big collection bigots. Is there a collective Noun for a bunch of bigots? How about “a Minichiello of bigots”?

  15. How many people belong to this group? Fifty? They call themselves Anglican Mainstream the same way “One Million Moms” called themselves, which actually were around 4000 people of all the people in the US.

  16. It’s worth noting that the reputable psychotherapy organisations in this country, and in the USA, have published statements condemning ‘conversion therapy’, and actively work to ensure none of their registrands are misguided enough to do such monstrous non-therapy.

  17. After all the ex-gay organizations in the USA combined, here is their results

    http://www.rightwingwatch.org/content/fewer-ten-people-show-ex-gay-pride-event-expected-draw-thousands

  18. Time to look into what the cure people are doing – probably secretly having SS sex

This fake cure is nothing but they drive the person further into the closet.

Lots of kids subjected to it commit suicide, eg they are as usual, MURDERED by these so called Xtains. And built into this treaqtment is they get the people to hate themselves but twist it so if you spend enough time challenging these victims, it turns out they hate others publically.

  19. Anglican Mainstream is registered with the England & Wales Charity Commission as 1111739. Its objectives are stated to be “the advancement of religion through the promotion, teaching, maintenance and practice of the spiritual truths on which the Anglican Church is founded”. Religious activities are a legal charitable aim so a challenge to AM would need to show that in practice it promotes discrimination – a complex case to make.

Far easier to challenge is AM’s close ally, Core Issues Trust. CIT gets its tax exemption through Northern Ireland, where there is no proper charity regulation system. CIT defines itself as “a non-profit Christian ministry supporting men and women with homosexual issues who voluntarily seek change in sexual preference”, so CIT’s stated aim is promotion of harmful psychotherapeutic intervention – a much easier case to prove.

The confirmed venue for this AM event is at the same Northern Ireland church in Ballynahinch where CIT hosts many of its events.

  20. Sadly for Andrea Minichiello Williams there is no cure for stupid.

  21. This is homophobia by another name. The government needs to wake up! It had a chance to put the legislation into place but said no! But that the Department of Health was not aware of cases of it being prescribed on the NHS. Another strong case for throwing out religion from the House of Lords and indeed from any aspect of advice or authority over any government legislation. Religion has become a nasty boil on society that needs to be lanced. Have the freedom to praise your chose faith, but let that be a private matter between you and your chosen god. But they cannot be allowed to plaster their biased and homophobic teaching across the whole of society. So wrong.

If this conference is going to be anything like the one that Anglican Downstream held on the same theme last January, then it will turn out to be an absurd and humiliating damp squib:

In fact, one might have thought that lessons would have been learnt from last year’s fiasco.

  23. Unfortunately I’ve met those who have personal testimony to the evil of “cure” malpractice for gay people in the NHS by alleged reputable and registered “psychotherapists” and is still on-going. There is a vile deafening, complicit silence within the mental health worker “profession” to condemn and actively prohibit this quackery.

  24. When is the date for the conference, anyone know?

      Money well spent? You decide!

  25. There is a better term to describe this ‘gay-to-straight’ (or vice-versa) business. It is called ‘bisexuality’. Perhaps someone should tell these evangelicals?

  26. The event is being held at Emmanuel Conference Centre, Westminister, SW1P 3DW. A page to organise a protest to be held outside has been set up on Facebook

  27. If you want to write to this mental bitch her home address is freely available to the public.

    Google “director check”
    Then select the first result
Use the search box to search for “andrea rose minichiello williams”
    Select the first result
voila – you have her home address in haywards Heath

Btw – she’s no barrister. She is a shame to the legal profession
