One of the really decent Tories to be proud of. A good example for the rest of his party. Thank you, Simon.

Has Mr Kirby had unprotected sex with someone, is he an intravenous drug user, had a stick injury from a potentially infected needle or has he had a blood transfusion this past year.?
If not, then why did he get tested & then use it to bolster his political career. BRAGGING ABOUT GETTING TESTED DOESN’T MAKE YOU A BETTER PERSON.
Educating people into the ways of contracting HIV (AIDS) does.
Everyone has their own reason for getting tested, but to use that test for political gain is the lowest form of political oneupmanship i can think of.
If you believe you have come into contact with HIV, then by all means ( if you want to ) get tested. That test is for you & you alone & should NOT be used to gain any moral high ground.
Testing for HIV is a very important & potentially life changing experience, even if the result is negative. The decision therefore should not be taken lightly. Utilise all the support facilities at your disposal beforehand, you might just need them.
