  1. Wow, he sounds like a progressive First Minister! What a difference between him and Northern Ireland’s First Minister.

The Stonewall Cymru campaign against the use of anti-gay language in schools and the support given by the Welsh First Minister is really great, but it’s time for homophobic bullying of children to be tackled head-on. Legislation needs to be introduced to outlaw the harassment, psychological and physical abuse of children and teenagers. Schools and parents need to be held responsible.

All bullying is an outrage, but homophobic bullying seems to be more prevalent, just as it has been for decades. Adults are legally protected by law from hate-speech/crimes and that’s what bullying is. It’s incredible that children and teenagers do not have the same – if not more – legal protection. No Government appears to have the courage (not that it should take any) to introduce such legislative measures.
