  1. Cishet white men can’t speak for queer people in third world countries. These guys are self entitled assholes.

They’ve done more than you, these guys have inspired thousands of people.

Fantastic news. I’m not known for being soft but I cried at the track and did feel the world is changing for us.
Immensly grateful to the boys and wish them great continued success.
    Thank you.

  3. What on Earth is going on here?!?!!? Yes fair enough Macklemore may have ‘inspired’ some people but Same Love is so, so problematic in so many ways and all of this is just presenting an acceptable face of queerness so that cishet people can pretend that homophobia is extinct and that we all live in a happy utopia of equality. And also they deserve a special cookie because hey! Straight people! Who AREN’T terrible to socially oppressed people!!!! They should all get medals and a special day of honour!!!!

  4. Ugh, can we stop pedastalling these people and actually recognize other people (famous and un) in hip hop came first and risked more to stand up for gay rights? You know, other people don’t have inflated egos and think they’re the only major contributors unlike Macklemore and Ryan Lewis? Please?
