  1. Accuse then duck and hide of the so called victim to obtain a conviction is no justice irrelevant of any crime let alone this so called “crime”. This is savagery in the guise of civility.

  2. Unbelievable that in these increasingly enlightened times (except in backwards places like Cameroon … and Russia) someone can be imprisoned for a consensual sexual act. It is a disgrace and so is the UN for not doing enough to tackle this totally irrational and disgusting form of persecution. If this was a race issue, the UN would not be silent. But because it’s about ‘religion’ and (shock-horror) ‘sex’, it seems any country can act to persecute its own citizens with impunity.

  3. What a backward country. Encourage your government to stop dealing with this uncivilized nation.

  4. It’s a shame the powers that be in Cameroon have nothing else to worry about – like poverty and starvation.

Cameroon is a very backward and intolerant place but the causes of this also need to be understood and placed in context. It was not so long ago that Gay people in Europe and the rest of the now so very recently and incompletely enlightened West suffered similar abuses. Cameroon is a police state with a very low level of education so it will take quite a while for this society to evolve into something more benevolent where acceptance of diversity is understood as a strength.
