  1. And hopefully his record label (Syco records) and PR/management team will also admit that saying ‘fukcing queer’ in some lyrics is homophobic and offensive and stop protecting him. Would they protect someone who said racist or anti-semitic comments in lyrics?

  2. This is good news. It’s only right that if a product does not meet your reasonable expectations then a refund should be issued. I fail to see how iTunes can ignore the trading regulations of the countries in which it operates. In the UK, there is a law stating that if a purchased product does not meet the reasonable expectations of the customer a refund request has to be honored.

Just saying “all sales are final” in an agreement does not void the laws of the country in which they operate. I’m actually quite shocked they can get away with that without having a legal challenge from UK courts.

  3. A swift kick to the wallet almost always serves to refocus the mind of the bigot.

I blame the record execs and admin. Unless this guy is completely self-produced, what are they doing letting lyrics like that out the door? Don;t they listen to the stuff themselves before they throw money and support at it?

  5. I wonder what Simon Cowell has to say about all of this. It’s no good for them all to pretend that nothing wrong has happened by keeping quiet and hoping that it’ll all blow over. It’s not a case of “oh, it’s only homosexuals complaining, so no real harm done”. We’re not going to allow ourselves be second- or third-rate citizens any more. Homophobia should have the same consequences as racist, misogynist or anti-Semitic abuse.
