  2. Homophobic bullying was bad when I was a kid in the 1970s. I would hate to be a gay (or even straight kid suspected of being gay) in schools now.

    That study was done by muslims who work for Gallup. One of those “moderate” muslims is now Obama’s advisor.
    A 2007 survey by other “moderate” muslims found that more than 60% of British muslims wanted homosexuality criminalised.
    For 30 years muslim organisations in Britain have been calling for the execution of gay people; sometimes these muslims have addressed mass rallies of up to 10,000 people. The problem is really serious. The 2007 survey showed that (on average) younger muslims in Britain are far more fundamentalist than their grandparents.
