    Bloody hell! This IS a positive step. And in Texas too. I’m impressed.
    Our gaols are in a terrible state when it comes to equality and safety: they’re practically non-existent. I’ve worked in & around prisons & the homophobic negativity from the staff is often much worse than that of the inmates…and, in some gaols, that really is saying something.
    I can’t see this happening here though, as our Neanderthal Prison Service see no reason to change. Even though they’ve been warned a thousand times by the Prison Inspectorate.
