  1. Fantastic! Another milestone for equality – another blow for mindless religious bigotry.

  2. A truly moving ceremony. Complete with a traditional Hawaiian olay (wedding song).
And this quote from Kushner’s Angels in America, which reminds us of how far we’ve come:

“This disease will be the end of many of us, but not nearly all. And the dead will be commemorated, and we’ll struggle on with the living, and we are not going away. We won’t die secret deaths anymore. The world only spins forward. We will be citizens. The time has come. Bye now. You are fabulous creatures, each and every one. And I bless you: More Life. The Great Work Begins.”

What a beautiful ceremony it was too! Hearing the Hawaiian song at the end reminded me of New Zealand’s marriage bill passage, very moving and very emotional, compared to all others.

  4. It was a long hard 20 year fight, and with all the disgusting behavior of our opponents, the
word Aloha had become meaningless. Thank you governor and all the supporters for bringing it back.

  5. Fab. Another great reason to plan a trip to Hawaii.
