  1. I wonder if these universities are going to invite an outspoken neo-nazi who thinks Jews are pigs, or maybe a member of the KKK who thinks black people are animals to come and talk on their campus? No, I didn’t think so. It’s disgusting that my tax is being used to pay this bigot.

    1. de Villiers 5 Nov 2013, 7:42pm

Who cares about the tax? It is disgusting that this person is attending at all.

      1. From what I’ve heard from several saudi good people and others who have lived there re the oil biz

The rape of male boys as well as girls in places like saudi land etc is their equivalent of a confirmation or a bahmitzva

To say nothing of how they treat their women – slaves and baby factories

    2. Mr. Menk needs to study a copy of the new 2014 calendar from nearby Warwick University, to help him get acquainted with OUR mindset here in the UK, and to try and let him know that he’s on a loser!

      Don’t miss:

      http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2478813/Warwick-male-university-rowing-club-completely-naked-raunchiest-charity-calendar.html

But note the line: “The hunky rowers have already built up an impressive celebrity fan base including Stephen Fry, John Barrowman, Boy George, Gok Wan and Derren Brown.”

Why couldn’t the Daily Mail bring itself to include the name of a famous male hetero fan of this calendar!

    3. SpaceCadet 6 Nov 2013, 3:14pm

They haven’t invited him! The story is completely bogus.

  2. Menk’s a scream, isn’t he! He rails against homosexual people while hiding behind an array of flowing theatrical garments lined with gold, a veil upon his head, throwing his hands around in melodramatic flourishes, interspersing little snatches of Arabic into his claptrap as if he were communing with some (non-existent) supernatural entity, while deriding animals as if he were not one of them.

I lived and worked for many years in Islamic countries and, for anyone here who doesn’t already know, I found them literally heaving with arrogant and brainwashed dolts like this one. On every block there is a mosque and from every mosque there stream 100s of bearded men like this one five times a day, and every one of them is as utterly sure in his sad and sick delusions as this one.

What is Oxford University doing, allowing a mentally ill individual like in to speak?

The liberal city of Oxford has sadly become far too tolerant of Islamic idiocy in the course of the past 30 years.

    1. He certainly seems to be very aroused and motivated by gay sex, I mean to travel and give lectures about gay sex takes a lot of arousal.

    2. There seems to be no evidence that Oxford has invited this individual to speak. It’s probably just an overimaginative claim made by his supporting website.

  3. Colin (london) 5 Nov 2013, 8:31pm

What right thinking human would want to meet with him.
Universities and muslin centres you should be ashamed of yourselves.
Come on students protest loudly and ask for the meetings to be cancelled.

    1. Spanner1960 6 Nov 2013, 11:18am

      Muslin?
Oh, obviously a man of the cloth.

    2. 99.5% of British muslims are openly homophobic. http://www.theguardian.com/uk/2009/may/07/muslims-britain-france-germany-homosexuality

That study was done by muslims who work for Gallup. One of those “moderate” muslims is now Obama’s advisor.

A 2007 survey by other “moderate” muslims found that more than 60% of British muslims wanted homosexuality criminalised.

Muslim organisations in Britain calling for the execution of gays, have addressed mass rallies of up to 10,000 people.

The problem is really serious. Younger muslims are even more fundamentalist (on average) then their grandparents. It is getting worse.

  4. dorsetbob 5 Nov 2013, 8:33pm

There are laws against speaking hate like this in public, enforce them ! I wonder who thinks its a good idea to invite these ‘clerics’ to speak in our universities ?

  5. Paul Throp 5 Nov 2013, 8:46pm

Get a grip, Oxford!!! You are supposed to be held in esteem, instead you ridicule yourselves

  6. Oxford has a bit of a rep supporting these types. Notice Oxford is not on Stonewalls Equality index.

Makes Cambridge look all the better.

  7. Ethel Clutterbuck 5 Nov 2013, 9:12pm

“The pigs and the dogs do not engage in this” – he says. Needs to go to Specsavers.

  8. I’ve just emailed the press offices at all of these universities telling them how awful this is, if the story is true. Fingers crossed I get a positive response, if nothing else, at least as a result of bad PR!

  9. Lion in Winter 5 Nov 2013, 9:46pm

And his nine year old bride number three? What does she have to say about this?

  10. So he`s coming from Zimbabwe and seems to be repeating comments made by its president Mugabe,re;dogs and pigs,so has`nt this guy got a mind of his own?

  11. The Kitty Channel 5 Nov 2013, 10:37pm

UK citizens should be mailing their MPs to complain about this man’s presence in the UK and to ask whether it is really conducive to the public good.

  12. I’m at Leicester. He was invited by our Islamic Society and there is no set adgenda to his talk, the LGBTQ*A is already working to have him banned from campus before his visit *fingers crossed* and if he isn’t I personally will be protesting loudly anyway!

  13. Firstly she’s misquoting Lot and let’s not forget that incestuous Lot went on to have children with his own daughters, the same daughters he valued so little and who were of such low status being women that he offered them up as his chattels to be had by the angry crowd in place if the non-human angels. What a mixed-up fantasy story it is.

I must say she has quite heavy facial hair for a muslimah but she dresses quite modestly and attractively with the carefully draped scarf and gown etc, maybe she could try a bit of bleach to make her rather heavy facial hair a little less noticeable or better still a good depilatory cream. Hell why hold back, maybe a crack and sac wax treatment while she’s over here is my first thought.
I’m thinking this babe would be rather high maintenance what with the regular full-body salon sugaring treatments taken into account.
Sugaring is very popular in Saudi Arabia.

    1. essexgirlbecky 7 Nov 2013, 10:15am

And what a great comment on inclusion and equality within LGBT communities this is! It’s bad enough that we have to put up with the bigotry of people like Menk. But there should be no place for the cultural misogyny within our communities that this post epitomises.

      1. The way that you read my comment was not the way I had intended it to be read.

I will endeavour to take your comment on board and self-censor in future so that you don’t feel you must police everything I say instead of making a relevant comment of your own on any given topic.

  14. Martin Davies 5 Nov 2013, 10:55pm

Given the hatred and trouble that this man represents against UK citizens and the high rik of unrest, terrorism and trouble that his words will trigger one should actively request that the hone office and immigration should turn this rabid cleric around at passport control, but exactly that, let him waste his money flying here, then send him straight back without access to the UK.

  15. Disgraceful. I am also emailing the universities press offices.

  16. This is the kind sick of Bastard who is probably having sex with men and boys behind closed doors but condemns it and spreads this kind of hateful speech in public.

    1. As has been proven over and over – the bigger the homophobe, the bigger the closet case. Look at Mugabe. Camp???!!! Who dear? Me dear? They think if they are vociferously ant-gay they’ll convice others – and especially themselves – that they’re not gay. It’s all about denial and self-hatred

  17. This is the kind of sick bastard who condemns homosexuality and spreads hateful speech in public, but has sex with men and maybe even young boys behind closed doors.

    1. I’ve no doubt you are right about that.
He gets too aroused by the topic of homosexuality,
“The lady doth protest too much.”

  18. Will the fascist unite against fascism loons be protesting at these events? Silence as usual against islamofascism , let the evil fester and grow.

  19. Truely amazing. If anyone is found to have imported a bible to Saudi, they’d be thrown in jail. Yet the British authorities will permit this person to visit us and incite hatred against a sizeable proportion of our citizens in this disgusting homophobic way with impunity. But then, I suppose we have to put up with it because we need their oil. I can’t wait for an alternative fuel to emerge so we can kiss goodbye to the Middle East once and for all …..

  20. Tom (Winnipeg) 6 Nov 2013, 12:57am

I thought these primitives were to be banned from the country. Boot him out.

  21. The Koran says no such thing, you’re just an idiot with a rag on your head.

  22. as he said if you choice be Muslim then you are not free if you don;t want fellow the rule you can move to other country then this is mean every things is by choice!!how can Muslim married with more then one wife?? well this is choice … so choice what you want.. and don’t justice other… Rape is criminal and Gay sex is by choice!!!also the gay sex is not only man with man also woman with woman !! well he seems doesn’t understand there have some woman prefer be with woman love with peace!

  23. Fromt he people who gave us 9-11 thanks to their religious beliefs.

This guy should be banned from England just as they banned the utter nut jobs of the westboro baptist church

  24. I’m sure we can rely upon the UAF to protest? No? Is religious fascism a protected species?

  25. Allow him to speak and more will understand what claptrap he talks.
Ban him and beware as people will flock to thim.

  26. Jock S. Trap 6 Nov 2013, 9:57am

And who is it that usually gets punished for the rape of a woman in these Islamic states? The woman.

So how can he come out with such comments when the record itself is both appalling and an absolute farse.

This is also a society that arranges marriages out of duty, no matter the age of the female.

I think this man cannot dictate what is wrong with society when he himself obeys a religion that is totally corrupt and damaging to the human race.

Sadly, the same has to be said about most religions and why this man is allowed to tour this country spewing hatred is beyond me! He should be banned. End of!

  27. mikeysussex 6 Nov 2013, 11:07am

Muslims are no friends to gay people and this is the result. We allow mass immigration and end up with idiots like this. I moved from East London after 20 years when muslims started putting up “Gay Free Zone” in the area. Hang them all in public.

    1. Spanner1960 6 Nov 2013, 11:20am

I moved out well before that. The place was turning into a craphole.

  28. Suspicious 6 Nov 2013, 11:13am

Is this even true? There’s nothing on the University’s website about it.

    1. They’ve updated the article to say the university has denied any knowledge of this. Just because some Muslim website claims he was due to speak there doesn’t mean it’s true.

  29. Spanner1960 6 Nov 2013, 11:16am

Sorry, but I think the man should visit. As should KKK members and Neo-Nazis.
Burying these people will only serve to make their foul attitudes subvert people through more indirect channels. I say put them on Newsnight and then watch them get ripped to pieces by the majority of people in this country that despise them and their hatred.

The man is going to universities. Those kids are not stupid; they know the score.
Let him say his piece before ripping him a new a-hole and sending him packing.

    1. But you would think that, Spanner! You only come here to speak crap and stir!

Spanner is a sad self-hating gay man who once said, “Most gay men I know are the most selfish, vain, egotistical bunch of gits on the planet, and the concept of a ‘gay community’ is a total myth . . . ”

      http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2013/04/26/staffordshire-ukip-election-leaflet-mocks-bisexuals-and-warns-of-explicit-homosexual-sex-education/comments/

Spanner has been saying spiteful things about gay men on these threads for years.

As Terence Wedipin told you six months ago in the above thread, Spanner, “Go away now!”

      1. Jock S. Trap 6 Nov 2013, 1:12pm

Better Spanner than Keith and his variety of nicknames.

Sure a comment page is about debate and a difference of opinion not just for all to agree!

      2. I’m much luckier than Spanner when it comes to gay friends, but I too believe the word community is wildly overused and is generally inaccurate – I don’t think there’s any one “gay community”.

        1. Spanner1960 6 Nov 2013, 5:16pm

I actually don’t think there is any community.
It just happens to be a bunch of like-minded people that happen to be moving in the same direction, but it is a purely selfish purpose simply because of safety in numbers.

          1. I’m not entirely sure about that – I think Hassidic Jews, for example, do form communities in many different countries (with all the lack of individualism and, eg, rights for women that go with that concept).

      3. Spanner1960 6 Nov 2013, 5:13pm

Yup, and I still stand by that statement.
Good of you to dig it out.

I am not spiteful, merely pragmatic and realistic and speaks as he finds.
Oh, and I’m not going anywhere. Have a nice day.

    2. I tend to agree with Spanner – forcing this sort of vermin into proselytising secretly can, unfortunately, give them a certain glamour among the impressionable and ill-educated.

      1. You need to keep in mind the hatred that Spanner has spewed on these threads in past years. I appreciate that keeping such data in mind is difficult, but it must be done. Spanner and Keef/Keith are not so different.

        1. Spanner1960 6 Nov 2013, 5:11pm

Screw you. I am a gay man that supports equality.
However, unlike you, I don’t put homosexuality on a pedestal.
Anybody who even attempts to criticise a person ends up with leftards like you accusing them of “self-loathing”.

        2. Oh come on Eddy, be fair – I may have disagreed many times with Spanner but I would never say he’s even remotely akin to the freakish and profoundly disturbed (and fortunately absent these days) Keith.

          1. casparthegood 7 Nov 2013, 1:15am

Please stop using that “K word” if it’s used 3 times after midnight it will rise again

  30. Send this fool a copy of the new 2014 calendar from nearby Warwick University, to help him get acquainted with OUR mindset here in the UK, and to try and let him know that he’s on a loser!

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2478813/Warwick-male-university-rowing-club-completely-naked-raunchiest-charity-calendar.html

Note the line: “The hunky rowers have already built up an impressive celebrity fan base including Stephen Fry, John Barrowman, Boy George, Gok Wan and Derren Brown.” Why couldn’t the Daily Mail bring itself to include the name of a famous male hetero fan of this calendar!

    1. The Daily Vile just HAS to get an anti-gay dig in doesn’t it – listing celebrity gay men in that sinde, nudge-nudge ‘dirty’ way? Do you suppose for a single second that ANY of the people mentioned have expressed an opinion about the calendar one way or the other …? Made up nonsense. The sooner the Royal Charter on Press Regulation is introduced, the better.

  31. How can you engage in acts of immorality with the same sex? And how can you prefer them over the females?”

The fact that this fool clearly doesn’t realise women can be gay too says a good deal about him (as does pretty much all his drivel, come to that).

    1. John Smith 25 Nov 2013, 3:36am

Lol, we was relating the story of prophet Lut, or Lot. He’s relating what Lot said to his people.

  32. Frank Boulton 6 Nov 2013, 1:45pm

It’s starting to look as if this cleric invited himself to at least some of the universities mentioned on his internet flyer.

I find it so hard to get my feeble godless brain around all of these religious paradoxes. So, could someone tell me, please, if I’m understanding this guy? He is condemning gay sex but saying that it’s OK to rape women, isn’t he?

    1. Yes, he’s saying that a man raping a woman is better than two men having consensual sex.
He’s qualified to say this because he’s all gussied up in an elaborate gown and with a starched and carefully pressed tea towel draped over his arrogant head.

  33. so basically this numbnut is say’n gay people are like him and his people that marry and rape thier own when THEY choose…HA get bent! http://getoffmydress.blogspot.com/2013/11/whats-up-doc.html

  34. Robert in S. Kensington 6 Nov 2013, 2:40pm

Everybody should contact Theresa May immediately. This man and others of his ilk should be banned from entering the UK permanently. There are also plenty of American counterparts who should also be refused entry. It seems there is always a double standard when it comes to LGBT people but if he had been spewing his venom against an ethnic group, you can bet the Home Office would take immediate action.

I’ve noticed the silence of UKIP, BNP and EDL as well as homophobic Tory backbenchers.

    1. If the EDL were to protest, they would be berated by the insipid, anti British, homophobic, treacherous, islamofacist enablers/sympathisers on here or portrayed in the media as being the villians, even when they raise legitimate concerns.

  35. I can’t believe such idiots still exist :/

  36. The event at Leeds University has been cancelled! The events hosts were unaware of the homophobic comments made by their guest and since being made aware have decided not to host them anymore!

    1. Suspicious 6 Nov 2013, 3:18pm

Cancelled? I’m not sure you can cancel something that was never happening in the first place…

    2. Is this true? I emailed the lgbt union to make them aware of this, not heard anything back though?

  37. Does this pratt not think there is homosexuality in the “animal” kingdom. He should be banned from entering the uk

  38. Helge Vladimir Tiller 6 Nov 2013, 4:08pm

The Koran does not say more about homosexuality than the Bible. In fact these two books mainly tell about Sodom and Gomorrah. And religions ; Islam and Christianity, and their followers interpret this myth the way they want to. In order to have power and suppress people. Suppress who ? ME and YOU !

  39. Rod Fleming 6 Nov 2013, 8:17pm

My God they ban Robert Spencer and yet they let this bigoted hatemonger into the UK? I am speechless. (And that takes some doing.)

  40. Guys this has been taken completely out of context, there is nothing hateful about his speech, he is simply saying in his view it is wrong , and whatever happened to freedom of speech anyways

  41. As i understand it as an LGBT student at Leeds met, the invitation from Leeds uni has been withdrawn and apparently Liverpool is following, hate preachers are not allowed on most university campuses as i understand it

  42. An Order-In-Council from the Queen or British Parliament should ban him from entering the UK at all times!!!!!

  43. Andrew Quinn 7 Nov 2013, 5:20am

not my country but its sad that there allowing such comment in a country that promotes anti discrimination and vilification

  44. Crazy old bigot and backward third world monster!

If it’s that bad how come ALL Muslim men bum their sons and best friends in the name of ALLLah!

  45. LEICESTER LGBT CENTRE 7 Nov 2013, 1:56pm

Mufti Ismail Menk is scheduled to speak at the University of Leicester on Wednesday 13 November at 2 pm. The Leicester LGBT Centre has reminded the University that it has a duty to consider how it promotes equality, eliminates discrimination and fosters good relations between the various groups which comprise our wonderfully diverse communities and, given the extreme views of Mufti Menk on LGB people, we are asking them how they plan to police this event. We recognise that there are those who will wish to protest any decision to allow Mufti Menk a platform to express such views, and we are talking to the police to make sure we are able to do so safely and lawfully.

  46. Right stay in your f***ing country don’t come to EU with your wives and dozens of ignorant kids …

  47. As a gay muslim having met Mr Mufti, I am saddened by this article of lies. He Embraced me and his has not expressed these opinions, a blurred copy pasters. I know I have said things in the past I’ve regretted so I feel you guys are heartless scums. Instead of encouraging and supporting the true Islamic priest this is spreading hate. He is not a Saudi infanct Indian Zimbabwean. Error lies deception. Very let down by pink

    1. The whole University Tour has been CANCELLED!!!!

See the organiser link here: http://www.tayyibun.com/tour.jpg

Amazing what a little cooperation and activism can do. :)

  48. He is simply reflecting what is in the Koran.

Whether we like it or not

  49. Ignore what these barmy clerics say. They only want to exert power over the mindless masses. They should not be coming to this Country at all and we should not allow them entry.

  50. We shouldn’t let people in who are likely to incite unrest and cause concern. We are not a Muslim country and those who practice Islam in this Country have to accept that they are in a minority.
