Lady Gaga: ‘Bisexuality is not about marketing – this is who I am and who I have always been’

Lady Gaga has spoken out against critics who accuse her bisexual identity of being marketing ploy, saying “this is who I am and who I have always been.”

Gigwise reports the pop singer, who last month revealed she had “taken a few dips in the lady pond,” recently gave fans a complete answer on her sexual orientation after further questioning during her ARTPOP album launch in Berlin

She said: “You know what? It’s not a lie that I am bisexual and I like women, and anyone that wants to twist this into ‘she says she’s bisexual for marketing,’ this is a f***ing lie. This is who I am and who I have always been.”

Previously elaborating on her attraction to women, Gaga had said: “I like girls. I’ve said that. I know people think I just say things to be shocking, but I actually do like pussy. It just depends on whose pussy it is.

“For me, it’s similar to how I feel about guys. It’s more of an energy thing. I used to go to lesbian clubs all the time. I like them because I find lesbians to be way more daring than straight men, when it comes to coming on to you.

“And I really like that. And it wasn’t until I found a guy that could come onto me as strong as a lesbian that I fell in love.”

Last month, Lady Gaga made a surprise appearance at the G-A-Y club night, held at Heaven in London, where she performed her soon to be released promotional single Venus.

The performance stunned club regulars, Paul Karbaron posted on Facebook: “Just saw Lady Gaga live as a SURPRISE act. The performance was INSANE.”
