  1. What a brave, good person.

+1 if only more people were like Ryan

  3. It’s about time discrimination laws covers any and all discrimination not just what’s written down. I hope there are more people out there who are willing to do this, I know I would have in a heartbeat. Even though I’m disabled and in constant pain no one and I mean no one says anything horrible about the people I love.
One of my sister’s ex tried to say that the reason he dumped her wasn’t because she became disabled (even though it happened just after) but that it was her own fault. Trust me when I say he’s lucky the bouncers saved him from me (this was before I got ill and was taking kickboxing lessons).
    xoxox

  4. Great job Ryan, sorry you got hurt and hope your attackers get done for stalking and assault and if the others encouraged your attacker if there is a decent public prosecutor, maybe she/he can get them for fomenting a criminal act or affray (whatever the terms are in Nebraska), even if they cannot be prosecuted under hate crime laws!

Pink News is allegedly a news source, so why didn’t one of their intrepid stringers pick up a phone and dig up a bit more information than the original local television news article provided? For example, the article doesn’t mention anything about an arrest being made, though the victim is quoted as saying he’ll press charges. A look at a fax of the police report would be a great way to get the important missing information, such as the identities of the three attackers.

This habit of just reprinting other news service’s articles near-verbatim without a hint of follow-up is so indefensibly lazy that it is a reprehensible practice. If you didn’t add any information, why not just post a link to the original article, instead of hijacking their eyeballs for your own ripoff press?

    1. Since you don’t like Pink News – why bother reading it? Nobody forces you to. As you’ve suggested, alternative news sources are available.

  9. It does surprise me that this article is more or less a verbatim copy of the Huffington Post article! Isn’t it wrong to not reference Huffington post?

  10. What a courageous friend and what contemptible low-lifes.

  11. What an excellent man.
