I’m glad he’s moved to a caravan where he belongs. The Americans have a very apt saying for that….”trailer trash”.

Some Americans indeed use that term to describe folk who live in mobile homes commonly called “trailer houses”. But not all do, and very few people who do live in mobile homes are considered to be “trash”. On the contrary, most people who live in such a way are genuinely good people eager to live their place in life. None should be painted with so broad a brush. Of course this is not limited to people who live in mobile homes.

The man who was released from jail is not necessarily “trailer trash”, but I would not hesitate to label him with the term “bigot”.

  3. I think officials did make a good decision by showing the offender a quick vision of his future if he continued the abuse. I wish that they had made one other condition, sensitivity training.
