No Republican can win on an anti-gay ticket. Not now. The hardcore foaming at the mouth guntoting Bible bashing ultra-conservatives are ripping the GOP apart. Even with the gerrymandering that has occurred with the districts for the House of Representatives they are likely to lose seats next year.

Christie would do well to tell the lot of them to STFU. He would gain a lot of respect for doing so.

    Well done America. love you

  4. The only ‘losers’ in this fight for equality are the religious dinosaurs, stuck in a bigots timewarp. I am totally disgusted that a ‘belief’ can still hold such sway in a supposedly secular society. Time to concentrate on human rights and to stop pandering to religious minoities who use the bible as a licence to peddle hatred.

  5. Shows how quickly the bigoted religious right will turn on anyone who despite their efforts doesn’t manage to actually deliver and advance their anti-gay agenda, these creatures show no loyalty, they are the embodiment of evil.

I think Christie is shrewd and pragmatic enough to know that the republicans won’t win with a foaming-at-the-mouth extremist and is ensuring there is a moderate alternative should they come to their senses.
