It was a popular gay resort before the 1990’s. I have older friends who stayed there in the 70’s.

Indeed it was. And the all night dancing at Trailer was just the best. Well…second only to the day the Italian Navy disembarked 100 sailors onto the gay beach!

Just a note that Queenz doesn’t serve food with the cabaret show outside of the main summer season. Still, have a few drinks and swing yourself round the pole like everyone else promises they won’t do but ends up doing.

And keep the noise down in Calle Bonaire when you stagger home. Some of us are trying to sleep you know ;-)

  3. Sitges is a great resort, all the better for being a bit off the package holiday map. It’s for those who like their Spain Spanish.

Although at a different time of year, I’m surprised there was no mention of Corpus Christi. Despite being essentially a religious festival, the flower carpeted streets and the closing procession really are a Must See.

  4. Well researched and written review of the SITGES we know and LOVE.

  5. No, thanks. It’s a destination for old and effeminate homosexual-men.

LOL. Someone who’s obviously never been there.

If you prefer to stay in an apartment in Sitges Outlet 4 Spain have a great selection for all budgets, take a look at the website here:

  7. Sitges is a great little place to go to and with it being so close to Barcelona, you’re practically in gay heaven! I would recommend booking accommodation through Gay Homestays – they are loads of gay/lesbian and gay-friendly hosts to choose from in both Sitges and Barcelona with spare rooms or whole properties that they rent out to travellers and it’s much cheaper and better than B&Bs or hotels.

  8. also have lovely apartments in the area and a beautiful one in Sitges.
The ladies that own the company take their business seriously and make great personal efforts to ensure everything is done properly – You are not left on your own having picked up the keys to find the place. They guide you and explain how to work everything. The standard set for cleanliness would be hard to beat.
