  1. Much too kind. This idiot has been “listening to the wrong people” his whole life. He doesn’t even believe in evolution, ffs.

    Mr Potato-head

Prof Dornan should get an award for diplomacy for showing that level of restraint. Poots is a prime example of why religion should play no part in serious government, even by Ulster standards that man is an embarrassment and potentially dangerous in his views.

You’d think with those ears he could hear a guy whispering in Australia…..

    1. It’s funny how Russell Tovey’s prominent ears are dead cute but Poot’s aren’t at all,
His ears result from his forebears and EVOLUTION so I don’t so much object to them as his forcing his peculiar anti-gay religious dogma and prejudices upon everyone through legislation while ignoring informed opinion and advice.

      1. The difference between the lugs of Russell Tovey and Edwin Poots is that Russell actually uses his to listen to what other people have to say, and doesn’t dismiss them immediately.

The NI Health Minister, Poots to me should not even be in politics. Show me how he is moving on the communities he represents. He represents gay people as well. Seriously the people who put him is his position should ask themselves if they made the right call here.

NI your churches hold you back. It’s time to look outside your country to others in Europe and across the globe and modernise for the betterment of all your people.

Many people like me dispair at NI as throughout my 50 odd years I only see and hear bigotry, fighting, killing and no future direction, no real discussion about how to change the attitude in NI. Poots to me represents all that is bad about NI.

Please no country is perfect but many are moving on.

Get Poots and religion out of NI. Thats a start.

This nasty taxpayer wasting man should learn that his prejudice should have no place in politics.

Religion belief is no longer a valid excuse (and never was) and he should start acting for the betterment of NI!

He’s not listening to the wrong people, he’s just a brainwashed fool who think he knows better than medical professionals because his Bronze Age book fills his head with nonsense.

Those listening to the “wrong people” are the NI electorate who keep putting this idiot and the other DUP charlatans and bone-shakers into positions of power.

  8. Bigotry is obviously genetic in Northern Ireland. So, this pillock should face a lifetime ban from giving blood …..

  9. Robert in S. Kensington 22 Oct 2013, 12:28pm

As soon as the good many people of NI break the back of the DUP, then people like this ignoramous won’t be around. Their ‘proddy’ party has a stranglehold on the Assembly and about time it ended. Religion infests and infects with its poisonous venom and should be routed out once and for all. This is what is at the core of this.

  10. He’s also anti-abortion, even though he’s a walking advert for it.

    The jug-eared prick
