Here in the US same-sex marriages will begin on Monday, October 21st, according to a ruling this afternoon from the state’s Supreme Court. Newly-elected US Senator – Corey Booker (D-NJ) – has said he plans to perform SSM marriage ceremonies Monday in Newark, the city where he was Mayor before being elected to the US Senate.

  2. HadenoughBS. Please note you are referring to New Jersey. This article is about New Mexico. I live in Albuqueruqe and the New Mexico Supreme Court is going to HEAR arguments for and against marriage equality in our State on October 23rd. They are not making a decision on Wednesday contrary to the Pink Article here. Hopefully, they will decide quickly because the case is before them because the 33 county clerks want to know since 7 counties are doing licenses and marriages. My husband and I were one of the first to get a license and get married in Dona Ana County (the first to issue licenses) so we are, like thousands of others waiting to make it happen for sure in our state. There haven’t been really any protests here in NM. Except for the 3 Catholic Bishops and an outsider group from Arizonia (they need to butt out of our states affairs) we have a very good chance to become the 15th joining the other intelligent states and the District of Columbia.
