UK: Committee to ask minister why pension arrangements remain unequal for gay couples

    I was under the impression that this was going to be looked at after the marriage bill was passed, including humanist marriages and CPs for heteros.

    Well, inherently, the Tory Party is NOT the gay rights party. Always last-minute screeching in objection. So it’s not surprising to me.

  3. Steve Webb is a Lib Dem politician-but unfortunately believes that religion overides equal rights for gay couples.
    Just a quick look at his parliamentary voting record reveals that he voted for religious opt outs to the Equality Bill.

    I don’t give much hope therefore that he agrees with gay couples having equal pension rights.
