  1. One can only hope that every immigrant doctor, nurse, fire-fighter, paramedic, oil-rig worker, who is already employed there, is gay …. and that they will immediately walk out en-mass. What a vile, homophobic place the Middle East is. No wonder Syria and Russia get on so well …..

  2. I guess these religious “perfect muslims” have not read the UN International Declaration of Human Rights, perhaps someone can draw their attention to the bit about freedom of religion! and whereby it is a choice to also not be subjected to the belief in a religion or to choose a different religion.
There is also a bit about all people (that includes women, for the benefit of your perfect belief system) being born free and equal in rights; no mention of except if you are gay TS or intersex, but hey I bet you already knew this, you just choose to violate your obligation to behave as decent human beings as required by the UN Charter.
Just to remind you that includes NOT forcing your religious beliefs on others especially when it causes them harm.
Amnesty is founded on upholding the UN Charter of Human Rights which I believe your little country has agreed to abide by, perhaps Kuwait should withdraw from membership, so that everyone is aware you do not propose to abide by its provisions

Some of their statements are hyperbolic. One seriously doubts that ALL Kuwaitis are against Amnesty’s statement, and even if they were they would not be able to say so otherwise since these are such repressive/oppressive states. There is hardly any idea of what democracy or human rights are in these theocratic and fascist countries.

    1. LGBT citizens are certainly not in agreement with their government, and the fact that these government deny they have a LGBT population and ignores their opinions on this tells us everything we need to know.

These are fascists, despots, disgusting abusive creatures who use their “religion” as an excuse to maintain control and power over their people.

I hope these countries one day see a revolution, and that their religious insanity is removed.

  4. With disgusting attitudes like these coming from governments it’s about time we started pressuring our own to cut ties with these oppressive regimes once and for all, refusing to do business with them unless they adhere to a strict code which meets international law.

It’s time to start attacking sporting bodies who ignore these abuses of basic Human Rights, and start preventing these countries from participating in international events.

No more crap, no more giving them leeway to act like this, no more looking the other way when they attack minorities under the bullsh*t of their religion and pseudo-morals.

It’s about time we all started taking a stand and gave these despotic regimes an ultimatum – you either meet international standards or you will be shut out of international business and the global community.

I can’t wait till there oil runs out.

Then they can p off back to their caves and worship their pedophile savior.

    barbaric d!cks.

    1. Beelzeebub 14 Oct 2013, 8:39pm

And just how many US and UK gay soldiers died in the war that saved these people when Iraq invaded them.

I think we should sue these idiots.

      1. Geoffrey Marsh 15 Oct 2013, 11:55am

All the energy this planet will ever need is available 24/7 from the sun. We should all pressure our governments to implement the technology to capture it, then we can be free of our reliance on Arab oil and Russian gas.

      2. Yes but we’ll never know that, will we? Gay soldiers weren’t officially allowed to serve in US or UK forces then – let’s not forget that it wasn’t all that long ago that they could lose their jobs if it became known they were gay.

  6. So this is the thanks that the country US and British forces rescued from Saddam Hussein gives us? How many Americans and Britons died to keep Kuwait free from a tyrant? Wasted lives. We should have left Kuwait to be occupied by Iraq.

  7. I used to live and work there. And I met MANY gay Kuwaitis, young men and older. I attended many gay parties, given by gay Kuwaitis. Gay Kuwaiti men have their networks. And they have their cruising grounds! And during my years there I came to know there were many Kuwaiti women known to be lesbian – some of them prominent in their fields.

So, Kuwait, the “evil” is not without, you know. The “evil” lurks within you, and it always will! Get used it! Get over it!

The entire Arab world has an underground gay scene going on. Hiding behind their religion and mixing in some xenophobia isn’t going to remove gays from their culture. The gays are already there, and always have been.

One day, when the Arabs learn to act like grown ups, they’ll understand that. However, considering they are centuries behind Europe when it comes to women’s rights I don’t hold up much hope of change for LGBT people there any time soon.

The hypocrisy is breath-taking – becauseof the sexual repression and separation between men and women, there is a huge amount of man on man sex going on. Now most of these guys aren’t gay, they’re just incredibly horny and frustrated – but I’ll bet over half those pious hypocrites in the Kuwaiti parliament have had sex with another guy. In their minds, so long as they are the man in the act, that is, they do the penetrating, then they are still good virtuous men – it’s only if you get penetrated that you are gay. But any gay man who has spent time in that part of the world knows this,

    1. Helge Vladimir Tiller 14 Oct 2013, 11:19pm

—-I do think almost all members ( more than 90%)in the Kuwaiti Parliament have had sex with another boy/man. So it is for most of the men and mature boys in every muslim country. As long as you consider yourself “A REAL MAN” ( Oh, Christ ! )- not being able to fall in love with another man, you label yourself “normal” – not homosexual. And the majority is heterosexual, of course. Even if they have had sex with hundreds of other men. And who is supressed ? The LGBTQ community. People who fall in love with a person of the same sex. To hate someones ability to love ! another person is a devilish crime !

  9. Helge Vladimir Tiller 14 Oct 2013, 9:07pm

Thank you, dear Eddy ! Agree with you. Now I don’t have to fight with my modest English in order to write a good comment. Valid for the other comments here too–WE are strong People. Greetings from Norway !

    1. Helge, all my love to Norway! (Will I EVER get to visit your fine country?!)

      1. Helge Vladimir Tiller 16 Oct 2013, 10:57am

Anytime- You are always welcome !

  10. Is this the country that the U.S. and its allies fought to save when it had been conquered by Iraq in the early ’90s? And why did we do that, please remind me? If they hate our values so much, let’s stop relations with them. They can keep their oil, and we can stop supporting regimes that are opposed to basic human rights. (And by the way, our support for these dictatorial regimes is one of the chief reasons that Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups hate us, as well.) So if we stop relations with them, it’s really a win/win/win/win for everyone.

    best, Tip

  11. Omg these backward morons, the Quaran does not say any such things, it is human evil doing this.

Well good luck with the testing, I can’t thing of many western men and women who will submit to a medical test. I hope businesses start pulling out of these countries.

We seriously need to work on renewable energy.

  12. alwaysniceman 14 Oct 2013, 11:12pm

One day the oil will dry up and they all will eat sand and beg the West for compassion which they don’t show to gay people, which are a part of their own society, and that the West defends (except for Russia – the outsider of the West).

    1. You may like to know that your thought about what will happen to this lot once their oil runs out is a fantasy enjoyed by practically every Westerner who endures more than just a couple of years living in the Gulf States. Put their appalling homophobia completely aside, the arrogance, the wealth, and the superiority of the Gulf Arabs is sickening. Their treatment of any one who is NOT a Gulf Arab is appalling, particularly those at the bottom of their hierarchy of peoples (Indians, Bangladeshis, Filipinos, even Egyptians).

  13. Why dies PN keep doing this? “It’s illegal to be gay in all GCC countries.” No – it’s not illegal to be gay anywhere in the world. The law prohibits certain sex ACTS.

    1. JohnE, there may not be a law in Kuwait stating “No one in this society is permitted to be homosexual” but it bloody well FEELS like there is such a law in Kuwait! I lived and worked there for years. I know. Try to imagine you live in a streetful of rabid homophobic and religious BNP members somewhere here in the UK. Well, living ANYWHERE in Kuwait is rather like that.

  14. Christopher in Canada 15 Oct 2013, 12:35am

    “divine religions”.

    Need I say more?

  15. Robert Rowley 15 Oct 2013, 3:43am

We in the US and all EU nations should begin medical genetic tests to determine if any people from GCC countries are trying to enter our countries and refuse them all entry for ANY reason if tests show they are from the GCC “nations”.

  16. How many gay service men and women helped liberate Kuwait from Saddam when he invaded in the 90’s
Pitty they did do there testing then a lot of us could of gone home, without having to risk our lives for the freedom and liberty!

  17. Quatar can say goodbye to the world cup now. Even fifa cant ignore this sh;t !

    1. Helge Vladimir Tiller 15 Oct 2013, 9:32am

YES, dorsetbob ! If FIFA follow their own rules and policy—what they have promised the whole world, this actual championship must be thrown into the trash box.

  18. Jock S. Trap 15 Oct 2013, 9:53am

    Er “really oppressed people”?

Isn’t that what they do and state it’s part of their cultural?

    It’s appalling!

Time for them to wake up to a decent 21st century society and not be stuck in the dark ages which causes the damage, the harm to all effected.

Stephen Fry was right when he said in his program that these people are just obsessed with sex. It was shock the blatant ignorance esp when one African was question about straight couple having anal sex with “oh that’s different” and another saying better a rape between an man and child.

They are disgusting people with no morals, no decency and when they bleat on about this being a western “problem” they mean white which means they are not only homophobic but also extremely racist as well as sexist and are allowed to get away with it.

Why? This behaviour has no place and should be tackle at every opportunity!

  19. I’ve heard the perfect muslims are deviant pedophiles. Is it true? We have to introduce special gene tests in Europe which can determine if the guests from the islamic world are deviant or not.

  20. Imagine the international outcry if any country in the World said they were going to stop muslims from entering their borders.

But the middle east can continue to treat gay men worse than someone would treat a dog and no-one does a thing about it.

The middle east is a disgusting vile cesspit of human rights abuses – and not just for gay men and women. If they didn’t have oil, they’d be begging for the Western World’s aid.

  21. Jon (Malaysia) 15 Oct 2013, 12:59pm

I can’t even understand a religion so repulsive to its own members that it requires laws to enforce its belief and practices. I was raised anglican and I really tried as hard as I could to believe cuz everyone told me I had to. I totally lied at confirmation when I said I confirmed the vows my god parents had taken for me at baptism. What a joke all religion is.

  22. Painter R. 15 Oct 2013, 4:07pm

I won’t hold my breath waiting for these Kuwaiti MPs to locate the verse in the holy scriptures requiring anal inspection of the “strangers in thy midst”

  23. This the country the West rescued from Iraq’s invasion over 20 years ago. Not much of a choice.

  24. Ara Hohann 15 Oct 2013, 5:25pm

Bravo, Bravo, Bravo KUWAIT. at last a country comes forward to reject such nonsense immoral values, such as gay and homosexuality nonsense freedoms , encouraged in the “free” world. All class of immorality is rejected by GOD. such a small country Kuwait, yet with such a powerful stance. God bless Kuwait at all times.

    1. You seem pretty well versed in nonsense yourself.

    2. Dr. Damn Right 18 Oct 2013, 3:37am

An unproven deity does not a valid argument make. Prove your positive assertion of its existence or shuttupayaface!

  25. Kuwait exists because the world allows it. The billions of LGBTA people on the planet can now no longer preserve it and it will go away regardless of what politicians want to happen. The excuse of religion to violate other people’s human rights does not fly. It is simply forcing politician’s views of religion onto people. Corruption of politicians is corruption plain and simple.
