  1. that’s actually pretty funny, since the state legislature is willing to recognize marriage equality.. but the governor isn’t.

    now.. one judge, who understands the law?

    or one homophobic governor who is acting on his own prejudice and challenging the decision of a duly elected majority of state spokespersons?

  2. Why on earth not? You have one GOVERNOR forcing the state NOT to recognize them against the wishes of the majority of the legislature and the vast majority of the public.

    Following the governor’s theory, wouldn’t it then be possible by popular referendum to withhold rights from Catholics, Jews, Muslims, Baptists, evangelicals, people who weigh over 100 kg, Blacks ( oh yeah we did that once) etc. Name your poison. I’m sure you could find a majority to hate someone enough to win.
