  1. Just when you think a new president (educated in the UK) and a new regime might bring about improvements for the lives of millions of Iranian’s, they prove how backward they still are. ‘Satanists’? In a supposedly modern, country, they believe there are ‘satanists’ among them? Perhaps they should channel a Witch Finder General from the middle ages …?

  2. I worry about the people arrested here, they will not get any sort of fair trail and may well face execution. It could just be that someone has a bone to pick with this group of people and it is very easy to accuse someone. To be executed in Iran for such an offence needs no real evidence just the word of a cleric or a member of the revolutionary guard.

I would hope international pressure is brought against the government. But as stated in the article the revolutionary guard operate outside of government.

  3. There have been approx 4,000 lesbians and gay men executed by the state in Iran over 30 years – that’s 1 nearly every 2 days – and that’s just the state, never mind the unreported ‘family honour’ murders.

It’s bad what is happening in Russia and the stupid US evangelists are tedious, but compared to the treatment of gay men and women in the middle east, it is nothing – and yet the papers, TV stations, celebrity do gooders and politicians say nothing about it.

Iranian LGBTQ persons are suffering enormously ! In Iran a kiss between two men- a kiss with lust- can lead to 70 lashes. Approximately 8000 gay and lesbians have been executed since 1979. ( according to activists-) And still ; gay asylum seekers are being sent back to Iran from European countries. That is a shame ! I heard about a father who poured gasoline on his 18 years old son (’cause he was gay ) and set him on fire. The new president and his crew has not reduced the amount of executions ! Fascists !

I have to add that I have had close contact with Iranian resitance since 1980.

  6. Totally and utterly DESPICABLE. When is someting going to be done to syo this?
