  1. Good luck with that one love, I think that you will need it.

    Vile woman she is.

  2. I hope this vile piece of human garbage does not get elected. Maybe we should all write to our MP’s to make sure?

  3. She makes Sarah Palin look intelligent and Michelle Bachmann look subtle.

And she shares their tea party politics which we don’t need just now!

Vacuous stunt. Most MPs hate her, she’s got zero chance.

Now, being elected as speaker or deputy is not about being popular, an MP who is disliked by their own party has a good chance, as it will get them off the party benches and make them neutral. So she is probably favourite to win as there is a good few hundred conservatives who would vote to shut her up about some things.

Am not so sure about that. Don’t forget, she’s UKIP friendly, the last thing the Tories need. I’m all for shutting her up but I’m not so sure that would happen if she, heaven forbid, were given the Deputy Speaker role. She has a tendency to blab when she’s not in the chamber.

  5. Too much slap love

Says the harpy who really knows a thing or two about taking sex out of marriage having committed adultery for eleven years with Tory MP Bob Blackman.

If John Bercow has any say in it, I hope he’ll oppose this vile piece of human existence.

Whenever I see that quote where she pretends to be know all about gay hangouts, and that infamous ‘Gaydar in London’ place, I still giggle. #fail

  7. Self-promoting, arrogant, egotistical, uber-opinionated, homophobic. Are these the required qualities in a speaker? If so, she should stand an excellent chance of getting the gig.

Who is supporting this vile woman and why? To me she shouldnt even be in politics.
How did she get elected? Not good on any level. Come on UK. Sort this out. My next action is a letter to my MP.

I’ve tweeted several MPs to oppose it, Bryant, Gilbert, Williams, Lucas, Cooper, Freer, Clegg, Miliband, James, Huppert and more to follow.

  10. Maybe the Conservatives will be happy for her to get this job because it will remove a thorn from their sides.

I hope she doesn’t get it, though. It’s bad enough having homophobes in Parliament never mind them having senior posts like Deputy Speakers.

We’ve already got a major homophobe as a Deputy Presiding Officer in Holyrood in Elaine Smith. Having one in Westminster too would just be too much.

  11. This is the lady who values the sanctity of marriage? Oh, no wait……….

  12. Stupid woman.

  13. Bin Nadine Dorries!

  14. Colin (london) 5 Oct 2013, 9:25am

Please get this self serving out of Politics completely. how did she get selected?

Please folks a note to your MP’s. It only takes a minute

Seems she ticks all the right boxes as a tory candidate for the post, white, middle class, rich, heterosexual, married, and voted against gay marriage, she will no doubt sail it as a candidate, and will steer the chamber away from discussing homophobia and transphobia at every opportunity given
