Why don’t they go the whole hog and stone us to death? – That’s what their pathetic, hateful god demands.
I hope they’re happy in their new, more homophobic places of worship.

  2. Bye bye. Don’t slam the door on the way out… x

Gays are allowed to be ministers, so they’ve decided to take their balls home. How petty.

  4. Will the last one out turn the light off please

I really laugh at how the religious nutjobs argue with each other over the rubbish written in their book of fiction…..its like a soap opera but sadly with real life serious consequences

  6. Good riddance to old rubbish.

  7. As the two ministers resigned form the Church of Scotland there was a sound heard right across the UK of 5h1ts no being given.

Ah good [not] – so these two bigots are joining the bigotted and extreme outfit that not so long ago “ex-communicated” a member who happened to be the Lord Chancellor of England at the time, because he attended the funeral of a deceased judicial colleague who happened to be a Roman Catholic.

I have no religious faith of any kind, but these people just make themselves look ridiculous with their moral posturing when they are in no position to lecture anyone!

    1. I hope they will be happy in their uber bigoted sect.
The more of their ilk that take their bigot prejudices else where the better chance of CoS has of moving towards a saner attitude to human sexuality.
That same ex-Lord Chancellor, who put forward wrecking amendment after wrecking amendment and displayed unrelenting bigotry and homophobic bile during the Lords discussion of the Equal Marriage bill, no sympathy for him at all, if you support bigots and run with bigots don’t be surprised if the do what they do and do it to you too. Karma’s only a bitch if you are.

They’ve made a perfectly logical choice. While I think all religion is just fairy-stories, if you believe then have the courage of your beliefs.

Good, two less bigots to deal with! Next!

  11. Excellent! One less religious bigot to have to suffer. With a bit of luck, organised religion will soon have bigoted itself out of existence.

“What Scotland needs most today is the real Gospel of Jesus Christ”

…you mean the Jesus Christ who never mentioned a single word about gay people perhaps…?

    Bloody idiots…

  13. BYYYYYYYEEEEE.

I think the should also shoot themselves in the head just like that french freak did in the church.

  14. Goodbye and may your god go with you

  15. Thankfully, they have not taken their Church of Scotland congregations with them.

One of them has gone to St Columba’s Free Church, which is a extreme fire and brimstone type of church.

It is also worrying to see so many young people in St Columba’s pews, especially children, as we are often lead to believe it is only elderly people who go to church.

I don’t for a minute buy into the notion that homophobia is a generational issue. Just look at some of the younger MPs south of the border, most of them Tories who are some of the worst homophobes one could imagine. Some of those young people you see in the pews will be tomorrow’s gay bashers in more ways than one. Religion is at the heart of homophobia, always has been and always will be.

      1. Yes, hate has to be taught, homophobia like racism and misogyny is indoctrinated in the young by their elders, you have to be carefully taught to hate the same people all your relatives do!

    This is an added bonus!
Removing their power and influence voluntarily, what a great little present for the LGBT community ;)

Now if only all the other bigots would remove themselves and their disgusting voices from any organization with any influence, the world would be a much better place.

Get rid of all religion and the people gay or straight that promote it.

  18. If Rev(olting) Randall and Rev(olting) Court both stick a broom up their backsides they can sweep the floor on their way out.

  19. Things like this make it obvious that these peoples “faith” was never very strong to begin with. If you’re willing to actually LEAVE because gay couples are being included then your faith was probably very shaky from the start. How many people leave over divorce, or abortion? Anyone? Why is it ONLY gay people? Hmmm………………

  20. Perhaps someday fools like these will actually do some serious up-to-date educated Bible study so that they might come to truly understand the Word of God rather than inflicting their small-minded ignorance on people. Blessings on the Church of Scotland- the more dross you purge, the more the Spirit will lead you into Truth and Freedom.
