  1. But now that Stonewall is taking cash bribes from Paddy Power to buy rainbow shoelaces, I thought homophobia in football was fixed?

Has the institutionally homophobic FA banned these fans forblifebfrom ALL FA games?

    If not then why not?

  2. It’s no use just ejecting them. To make an example of them, they should face life bans. They should also be made to attend many hours of diversity training and pay large fines. There is no room for pussy-footing around. The FA and individual clubs must take a firm stance.

I wouldn’t say life bans but very heavy fines might make a homophobe think twice before opening his or her mouth. I blame the FA and managers for allowing it to fester and persist. Some of them are just as bad as the fans using anti-gay chants. A fish rots from the head down. They should lead by example.

  3. I would say life bans or at least very long ones (10 years at least).

This would send a loud and clear message about what is unacceptable behaviour. Anything less would not send the right message.

    1. That’s the point. It’s the ‘threat’ of a life ban which might just make a homophobic nob-head think about what they propose to say. Racism is less prevalent since the FA and authorities like the police got tougher. WHY can the same preventative measures not be applied to football homophobia?
