  1. Congrats on a successful event.

  2. Well done.
It should be noted that plenty of countries used to use the same excuses to ban Pride events and protests, and that it has been proven to be a failed policy.

What should happen, is that the state guarantees the right for people to protest, and then enforces that by arresting and charging any who cause violence. Serbia didn’t do that last time, they allowed their fascists to take control and beat people, and they then used that as an excuse.

It’s time the police did their damned job and secured the rights of all to protest freely. Within five years the anti-fascist mob would be decreased to an insignificant bunch of radicals, and Pride and equality would succeed.

If the Serbian PM doesn’t do this, it’s clear that his motivations are fascist in themselves and nothing to do with securing the safety of citizens.

I don;t know what your sources are, but here is a report and video directly from Belgrade. It was a night march on Friday night. http://inserbia.info/news/2013/09/belgrade-pride-parade-held-at-midnight-despite-the-ban/

  4. Well done the brave organisers of this event.
