  1. That governor looks a little like Nick Griffin of the BNP. Both ’roundly shaped’ and Troll like in appearance, and they both share bigoted views, too. Coincidence?

  2. At this point, it’s a race between the courts and the legislature to see who gets this done first in New Jersey.

We might get a lower court decision in Garden State v. Dow any day, but even if we have to wait a few more months for it to trundle through the courts, the case is going to be decided in favour of equality.

And Chris Christie will be happy enough that it’s happening, whichever branch does the deed. He’ll restate his opposition and his veto, and he’ll hope that will be enough to satisfy the rabidly anti-gay primary voters. But if he gets the Republican nomination, governorship of a marriage equality state can only help him in the presidential election.

  3. New Jersey does not actually ban and/or allow marriage equality (just like New Mexico). The current court case can fix this ambergurity and the Legislature (if they can find the votes to override a Bigots veto)!!!!!

    New Jersey Statute Title 37:1-1

    Amended 2006, c.103, s.6.
