Funny, no mention of Behind the Candalebra premiering internationally at Cannes in May in competition!

  2. I hope in the big Hollywood studios the heads of these imbeciles that said “too gay” roll.

Agreed… splendid film and good performances… although I fear this may be more fuel for Douglas (or his publicity staff) to find other ways to promote the fact that he’s straight.

Like just after the film came out, really not sure we need more of his ‘oh so straight’ sex life publicised, *shudder*.

      1. Yes-he was almost trying too hard to be straight, wasn’t he?

They won’t roll. Hollywood has yet to give a leading straight role to an out gay actor as an example of it’s resistance and primary concern, box office ($$$) receipts. We’re just not bankable to them.

  3. And me-it was a brilliant movie. Douglas was superb!

  4. And what, exactly, does this have to do with the article you’re commenting on?

Liberace would have been tickled pink!In the 1950s Liberace was the heart throb to millions of housewives and teenagers, receiving 10,000 fan letters each week, but he was clearly deeply in the closet albeit one lit by a candelabra. Find out What Liberace “Wants in a Woman” in a 1954 article you can read in Liberace:In the Candelraba Lit Closet

Congratulations to all the risk takers, actors and behind the scenes people who made this a success.
