      +1 !

  2. Honey! Who cares what some keyboard warriors in their mothers basement think? You were voted home coming queen !!!

  3. It would have been a good idea to stay away from the internet for a while. Of course the bigots are all coming out in force.

Dear Cassidy Lynn , don’t be tear full of the bad comments you hear and see , think only of the good words you hear and read

the people who give us bad words are only jealous , they have no love in there harts and no friends. When there time is up there lives will flash before them so quick as there is nothing worth in there lives. When its Ours we will be sitting down with the grim reaper and drinking, we will be sat there for quite a while as our lives are so much more. the people we meet and the love we get

  5. Poor girl…its horrible that they’ve made her feel like this. The people who made the pathetic and thoroughly nasty comments aren’t worth knowing. Don’t worry Miss, all the decent people browsing the internet are on your side and understand just what a waste of space the people bullying you are.

  6. You know you are effecting change when the haters and bigots get worked up. I’m so proud of both Cassidy and her school. Bravo!

Reminds me of the movie ‘Carrie’. If only Cassidy’s vengeance could be as sweet.

  8. Honey! You were voted homecoming queen; that is worth more than the ignorant opinion of a few keyboard warriors on YouTube

    1. Jen Marcus 22 Sep 2013, 4:20pm

They are not “warriors” they are cowardly idiots who hide behind their anonymous keyboards! Meanwhile, this girl outwardly displays the courage and enlightenment that they will never have.

      1. These kinds of people remind me of a common insect, order Blattodea, that we all detest, universally. In common language, we call them cockroaches, and these two legged creatures use the dark anonymity of the internet to spread their filth.

      2. I use the term “keyboard warriors” in the intended ironic sense as one who hides behind a keyboard is by definition the opposite of a warrior and as you stated; a coward

  9. Unfortunately, there is evidence that extremist Christian groups in America organize hate campaigns against public LGBT people.

They have fluffy names like American Family Association and One Million Moms, but behind the scenes they send out mass emails to their rabid right-wing nutters to attack and threaten people who defy their own brand of Taliban-like dogma.

It’s a sad fact of life that these cretins have nothing better to do. They want to hurt people while claiming to be Christian, in fact they are just evil (to use a term these freaks are more familiar with).

Good on her for standing up for herself, I hope she repeatedly tells them all to f*ck off until they eventually all crawl back under their rocks and die.

  10. Oh come on you have no excuse to not be prepared for people who hate you. I didn’t have the luxury of the Internet so I had no idea how deep the hatred for me would go. Stop feeling sorry for your self drama you drama queen

    1. Don’t be such a pratt James. If you didn’t have the luxury of the internet, you would not have been deluged with masses of hate at such a young vulnerable age.
This should have been an amazing experience for this young woman and then she was subject to a barrage of hate, spite and loathing. Only last week a young cis girl of around Cassidy’s age was subject to cruel taunts by internet trolls and she ended up taking her own life because of it. This is the world that children live in these days and until this type of internet bulying and hate is stopped, more young lives will be lost.

And remember, C. L. – Tears are our diamonds, our glittering flawless friends. For sure it is advisable that people should cry more often. In fact, that also brings more balance to our lives ! ’cause life is very often hard and short of mercy.

      1. That was beautiful! :’)

sadly she’s now learnt that when you stand up to be counted people will take shots at you – put yourself in the piblic arena and you’re a target.

A nasty thing to have to learn young, but our decisions have consequences…
