  1. Shame it was not for longer! And the reality is, he will be out in only a few months

    1. I’m no expert on the Scottish legal system, but I’ve read in the Scottish newspapers over the last few weeks that 12 months is the maximum sentence the Sheriff could give him because of the type of hearing it was. The CPS decided it should not be heard by a jury, which could have imposed a longer sentence, but by a sheriff alone, or something like that.

I’m not sure if I’ve got that exactly correct, but it’s something along those lines. I’ve also seen some rumours online that there was some political pressure put on the CPS to make sure they didn’t put it to a jury hearing in the first place, although I have no idea if that’s true.

      1. This story explains what I wss trying to say a wee bit better than I have!

  2. Bye bye, don’t let the door hit your arse on the way out you knob.

How dare hetry to lecture LGBT people

  4. The man is a putz.

  5. And we see how much this filthy beast of a man “values” marriage.

Makes you wonder if he longs for the dogmatically/church endorsed days of yore, where women were property and could be beaten and abused at will (since he is described as showing no remorse).

Good riddance to the traditional marriage bigot adulterer! I’m surprised C4M and Christian Concern aren’t protesting the jail sentence.

  7. “Bill Walker was found guilty of 23 charges of assault, and one breach of the peace, in August at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.

On Friday Sheriff Kathrine Mackie said the former independent MSP for Dunfermline was in “extreme denial” about his actions and had shown no remorse”

So here’s 12 months, we’ll see you in 6. His victims must feel so reassured by the justice system with such a “tough” sentence

  8. Ah, so this is the traditional marriage that marriage equality is going to destroy?

  9. Such a glowing example of the superiority of “traditional” marriages (after all, he thinks so highly of marriage that he’s had 4). This conviction couldn’t have happened to a nicer person.

On a more grim note, it’s depressing the amount of respect routinely given to specimens such as this one, which enabled him to marry and abuse not one, not two, but three women. What on earth made them marry him? The first I can understand, but the second, third and fourth?

Wow! A bigot going to jail for domestic violence! That sometimes happens here in the US but is sadly all too rare….oddly, one does note that many men claiming to be religious often use their ‘fundamentalism’ as an excuse to abuse both women and children, and some even use it as an excuse to murder those who may not ‘agree’ with them. Examples of this misogyny are abundant all over the world. The one thing ALL of these sorts of people have in common is their particular ‘religion’, and that religion isn’t Christianity or Islam, or any other belief system, it is in fact ‘fundamentalism’. It is the most anti-human of all beliefs and deserves to be extinguished, must be extinguished forever, or humanity will not survive….for all fundamentalist wish to impose their brand of fundamentalism upon everyone, like it or not; our consent is neither wanted nor needed by these groups….it is entirely irrelevant to them all.

  11. Good, wondr who’s bitch he will be :)

I guess he knows what he’s talking about.

I never beat up my partners so we are in no way equal.

  13. Woman-abusing scumball. I’m only sorry that his sentence isn’t far longer, given that he’s a serial offender. One does wonder about Stephen Green of Christian Voice in this context, though…

  14. Woo hoo!! Goodbye, B!TCH.
