LOL at the Margaret Thatcher Day comment. Personally I planned to spend it throwing rotten food at Tory Party HQ, but each to their own :-D

Peter Bone is the instigator to hold a referendum before the Marriage Bill can become effective. Good luck with that, Bonehead. Private members’ bills are difficult to get legislated. He is expected to introduce it next month. 42+ MPs have signed on to it.

I think the Lib Dem and the Tory alliance has been very successful and I would like to see Nick Clegg as Prime Minister.

Prime Minister of a coalition government based on % of Green, Labour, Lib Dems and Tory. All major peoples represented. To me we would get better policies and just maybe the young would take an interest.

The current two party system is not fit for purpose. Would you run a business this way…..That’s why business runs rings around Politicians and in desperation politicians allow bad laws esp on Tax, Banking, media and soon NHS.

    Good luck Mr Clegg.

  4. ““Meanwhile, inside the House of Lords, dinosaur opponents of the Bill were having a final go at killing it…”

He must have been referring to that oversized and hideous old antique Baroness Knight among others…that’s one antique I’d send straight to the dump.

“”Baroness Knight: Homosexuals are “very good at antiques”

      or Shirley Williams….

oh, wait, a beacon of Lib-Dem values

  5. As much as I support what Clegg did and with regards to same sex marriage he is still a turncoat and so is his party.

  6. given that the vote was about 2.3. to 1 in both houses for marriage, all these people are doing is pandering to the reliigious people

Here is a couple links about the horrors of religion

  7. What is Clegg doing to abolish the undemocratic House of Lords.

And does he confirm that extremist bigot Sarah Teather and her pals who voted no have no place on the LibDems, but are better suited to thw BNP?

As for that homophobic, self hating scumbag Simon Hughes.

He is truly an appalling human being who deserves utter contempt.

    1. Nick has tried to reform the House of Lords but been blocked by Tories and Labour. If you want Lords reform, get more Lib Dem MPs elected.
