What a wonderful man and friend to us. Clearly a straight man who really gets it. Imagine the lucky male to be held in his arms doing the tango.

    1. Especially since it’s thought the Argentine tango was originally danced by men – immigrant workers – anyway, an idea that’s apparently supported by the upper-body formality of the style. What fun it’d be to see it done properly that way!

Exactly, Rehan, To me, it’s the most beautiful dance on the planet, extremely sexual, erotic and passionate. Now seeing Ben and Robin together doing that would be just over the top. I wonder how Robin’s handsome fiancé, Davide Cini, would react?

  2. What a lost opportunity to break down stereotypes and do something innovative and interesting as well!

We can only hope it will happen one day soon, Rehan. I bet there would be record tv audiences too!

      1. Its been done in other countries cannot see why it cannot be done in the UK :(

Which countries have had a straight male celebrity dancing with an openly gay male? Did you thumb down my comment by the way?

          1. I don’t think so, if I did it would of been an accident but am pretty sure I didn’t, I have no reason too :/

Besides I was talking about same gendered couples, I dunno if any of them were straight!?

  3. Amazing fella. I might have even watched if he had done.

  4. Oh to meet a gay man like the amazingly nice Ben Cohen, and with so much humility to boot.

Yes, I profess, the muscles would be a nice bonus.

And he may not be 100% Jewish, but Ben’s name might just be enough to satisfy my mother (even if his profession involves manhandling other burly men as opposed to forseps and stephoscopes).

    Wherefore art thouest?

    1. The point is Ben is just nice sincere in his words with no hidden political agendas.

      He just IS!

      Sigh…

      1. You need to meet me, honey!

  5. I’m sure there was a same sex couple on a version of Strictly abroad, but I can’t remember the details.
Oh as for Ben, what a mighty fine man!!

  6. But do you think a male couple would have an unfair advantage over the straight couples in the competition? They woul ALWAYS win the viewers vote-because they would be different to all the others. Remember when John Seargant was on it- he was so bad that he won every week-and in the end the BBC had to eliminate him.

    1. Ben has the same partner as Sergeant and she ha split up from Calzaghe!

  7. I miss-read Robert’s post, apologies. PS I didn’t thumb it down tho!

  8. I hope Ben goes far and makes it to the final in December I really want him to do well he`s such a genuine person with a good heart. the world would be a better place if all men were like him, a world with no homophobia, no bi-phobia no misogyny or sexism but sadly that will never be.

  9. Such a lovely bloke. Wish he were on our side of the fence, for entirely selfish reasons, and knowing that a lot of much hunkier guys would be ahead of me in the queue. Drool.

  10. Honestly this man… I have so much respect for him

  11. He can ‘Cha Cha Cha’ with me anytime he wants to (in my dreams!!!)
