US: San Antonio passes anti-discrimination law for gay and transgender citizens

  1. For a ‘traditional’ state like Texas to have passed legislation of this kind is hugely significant. A wind of change is definitely blowing in the US – and about time too.

      While Texas has remained quiet conservative its still probably one of the most progressive states in the South. Mainly because many LGBT have migrated their over the years and its allowed more exposure to texan people.. Still its a significant step.. However However u won’t see states such as Alabama having lgbt friendly laws any time soon.

  2. That’s brilliant news for San Antonio. I wasn’t sure which way it was going to go.
    I’ve been following the event, and there were some pretty nasty things said surrounding this case-then again isn’t there always?
    Anyway, congrats to SA.
