  1. Dear Pink News: Despite the common misconceptions of writers who are a bit lazy in the research department, Canada in fact uses a different currency than the United States dollar. Therefore $98,000 in Canadian dollars is about £60,000, not £63,000 as US$98,000 would be. Similarly, $45,000 is £27,000 (not £29,000), $53,000 is £32,000 (not £34,000), and $3.5 million is £2.1 million (not £2.2 million).
