Some people are just to stupid to know when to stop digging.

  2. I trust this scarey imbecile will be going to live in the country whose laws he loves so much …?

  3. Robert in S. Kensington 2 Sep 2013, 5:28pm

This demented religious freak should be banned from the UK. He was supposed to come here during the equal marriage debate to stir up trouble. He’s as vile as Fred Phelps who was banned. So too should he. He’s dangerous and an affront to common decency and a threat to orderly society. I think I may email this article to the Home Office.

    1. Helge Vladimir Tiller 2 Sep 2013, 5:34pm

Yes please, Robert in S. Kensington- email this nonsense to central politicians ! What a monster of evil and hatred !

      1. Yes I agree Robert, this man should never be admitted to the UK or any other EU country. He should definately be on the; exclude, do not admit to the UK list.

      2. Robert in S. Kensington 2 Sep 2013, 7:23pm

I just tweeted Theresa May of the Home Office. I also tweeted Stephen Fry who could also be of some help I would think. I think I’ll also contact Lord Alli.

        1. Just emailed Therese May through her website

I hope you all do the same

          1. Robert in S. Kensington 3 Sep 2013, 1:24pm

Good, MarkB. I also contacted Lord Alli who I’m sure will be more than interested in this one.

Did you say “Not enough”- YOU ARE MORE THAN ENOUGH ! I throw up.

I don’t for one moment doubt that this man Scott Lively is utterly sincere in his delusional beliefs – every bit as sincere as Adolf Hitler was in his. That is what makes him so dangerous. The U.S. government should confiscate his passport.

“There is no wickedness so violent as that organized by the fanatic who thinks he is doing God service.” – Sir Oliver Lodge

“Men never do evil so completely and joyfully as when they do it through religious conviction.” – Blaise Pascal

  6. I think Mr Lively knows his chances in court are slimming by the day, and that he will have a vast string of related human rights cases thrown at him this year or next year, so he is making his self-loathing work overtime to fire off as many bloody shots as he can before he goes down.
He is fast running out of options, so will only get worse in the coming months. I would not at all be surprised if by the end of the year the gloves come off, and he’s not even trying any more to hide his favor for the death penalty.

  7. The President of the USA doesn’t agree with putin’s anti gay laws.

A demented homophobe called Scott Lively does.

And why does he only focus on Western Europe and North America? What about Northern Europe, Southern Europe, Canada, South America, New Zealand, South Africa – and they’re just the places that have marriage equality.

  8. Corruption
    Elective dictatorship
    Suppression of dissent
Thus the ‘moral leadership’ of Vladimir Putin.
He is welcome to the admiration of disgusting clowns like this.

  9. CH Brighton 2 Sep 2013, 6:09pm

And let’s not waste our energy listening out for the howls of rage from other denominations who are drawn in to Scott Lively’s christian web of hatred. If he can say ‘there is no such thing as a gay christian’ and other religious leaders don’t contradict him, then what he says starts to sound like a religious ‘truth’.

  10. This disgusting piece of detritus is to have his book translated into Russian.
I realy don’t think ex-KGB apparatchik Putin needs any help from Lively as to how to persecute gay folk he has a choir of his own haters cheering him on.

  11. Justusboyz 2 Sep 2013, 6:55pm

This vile individual and author of the pink swastika the biggest work of fiction second only to his bible.
A thoroughly evil man hope he gets what he deserves.

  12. ‘… implacable militancy and a zeal to advance their own self-serving interests.’

Says the man who devotes his life to fanatically demonising others and once boasted of dropping ‘a nuclear bomb against the gay agenda’ in Uganda.

  13. In time Lively will be sentenced to life imprisonment for crimes against humanity and then watch the snake oil salesmen and women run to find sanctuary in Uganda and Russia, too late too late is the cry, justice for the murdered in their names comes for them now.

  14. Tom (Winnipeg) 2 Sep 2013, 8:51pm

It really does sound as if Lively is aiming for the death penalty in his suggestions to his friend the “Putin”. I have never had much use for the likes of right-wing religious bigots, and this pig puts the exclamation mark on it.

  15. Everyone here needs to remember one thing. This man is officially being charged with crimes against humanity. All of the documented words that he is saying, the speeches he gave in African countries like Uganda along with the book he published entitled “the pink swastika” all these things along with his direct connection with Bryan Fischer of the American family Association need to be brought before the courts via the prosecuting attorneys against him.

    1. I seriously hope they take his interference in Russia into account when trying him for crimes against humanity.
I would suggest maybe some Russian LGBT organisations take their lead from the Ugandan ones and sue his sorry ass.
He is a disingenuous sack of sh!t.
How he has the nerve to accuse gay people of being Nazis when he travels the world seeking the death penalty for us wherever he goes is beyond me. I can only put it down to projection.

There is a distinct lack of comments on all news stories on these forums.

    One here, a couple there.

Perhaps the web editors may now realize that allowing its readership to be continually abused is NOT GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICE.

The result is you have driven away your readership.

Time to physically fight these sons of bitches. Arm yourselves!

  18. What comes out of this man’s mouth, loud and clear, each time he opens it i th high segree of self-loathing he must be experiencing. This degree of homophobia is a mental illness. He has been so brainwashed by his religion and inner-fear about same-sex attraction that he appears o be on the verge of some sort of mental collapse. I hope he gets the treatment he so obviously needs in prison ….and not just in the showers!

  19. CH Brighton 3 Sep 2013, 7:04am

Scott Lively puffs himself up by using the title ‘Dr’. He has a Juris Doctor degree which is the professional law degree required in the US. It is not a research degree being the equivalent of the LLB in the UK. The convention is that holders of this degree use the suffix esq. after their names.

  20. “There is no such thing as a ‘Gay Christian.’ The very notion is anti-biblical.”

Finally something I can agree with him. Hatred of homosexuality, symbolized in Christ’s nakedness on the Cross, an image of titillation which we are supposed to deny, even though it’s right there before us, encapsulates Christianity’s anti-gay doctrine, which basically consists of erasing it from existence and moving it to the realm of shadows. There would be no homophobia as we know it today without the invention of Christianity.
The other important pillar of Christian hate is anti-Semitism.
That is why “gay Christian” can only be an oxymoron, just as much as “Jewish Christian” is.

    1. I am gay and Jewish from birth–obviously, but Christian by choice. Also, the priest at my church is a lesbian. So you apparantly don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. Do you think Putin or Hitler were Christians? If you paint all of one people with a single brush you are no better than they are. Hate is hate no matter who the object is.

    2. Being a Christian does not make one a prick. Being a prick makes one a prick. A prick becoming a Christian just makes one a self-righteous prick.
There are pricks out there–and on here sometimes–who are not Christians and there are Christians out there who are not pricks.

    3. de Villiers 3 Sep 2013, 11:23am

It is very disappointing – in the same way that religious fanatics try to say that there is no such thing a person who is gay, as in born gay, others try to say that there is no such thing as a gay person who can be a Christian.

      Both viewpoints are blind.

‘…not to assume that you have fully solved the problem…’
    What problem?
