  1. Congrats to the staff who took a stand against this idiot and were successful. Was surely a difficult but brave decision. This shouldn’t be happening in Northern Ireland in the 21st century

    1. It shouldn’t be happening anywhere these days yet here we are!

  2. I applaud both claimants for taking a stand against this awful man.

But I also have to wonder why a man such as him was running this company at all. Seems to me he was only doing it to make money but also use his victims as play things for his own amusement. Sick b****rd

  3. ” …groped a gay male employee’s groin” “and routinely used homophobic language”.
Further confirmation of what I’ve always believed …”Show me a homphobe – I’ll show you a closet case”

  4. I’m assuming this bullying bigot is straight?

Assuming he is how dare he exploit us fir a quick pink pound. I hope his club/restaurant closes down & soon. If it dose not we’ve only ourselves to blame!

He sounds similar to the odious Craig Elder the str8 owner of London club Fire.

    1. Similar behaviour too to that of the disgraced Cardinal O’Brien …

  5. I like rough diamonds like this guy. They pretend to be all macho and disapproving, but they always end up being the best lay in the end.

    1. Rough diamond? I guess if you’d like to, er, polish his diamond that’s your business, but between the indecent assault and the sexual harassment I’d say he was more like a lump of coal – and lucky to escape criminal investigation.

      1. No, not a lump of coal. Coal can keep you warm on a cold winter’s night. I can’t imagine ANYONE wanting this creep to keep them warm on ANY night.

Trolling much – that or very very very stupid.

  6. It would seem given the tribunal evidence this guy is lucky he was not prosecuted for sexual assault as well.
I suspect we have not heard the last of this man who is so free with his hands and bullying attitude.

Just a poor, sad, silly creep.

  8. This is a sexual harrassment issue, too. Obviously this chap seems to have been a closeted bisexual, judging from his equal opportunity offending.

A gay restaurant that employed gay staff taken to tribunal because owner was homophobic. Only in Ireland!

    1. Actually Mikey I’m sure thats its not ‘only in Ireland’ that this kind of behaviour takes place as many of our Gay establishments are str8 owned. Brian West though was a totally disgusting little man (that picture must have been photo shopped….believe me) and the Restaurant/club in question was formally a pole dancers/stripper venue which he also ran for a short time until it was closed. The staff in ‘Rainbow’ tried very very hard to make it work but it was evident that mr West was just squeezing the most money he could in a short time out of the LGBT community.

  10. He looks like Sloth from The Goonies.

  11. OR maybe his staff just decided to get their own back in the easiest way possible after him closing the place in the way he did and not paying them their severance pay etc.

All whilst of course joining in that very same banter that happens in gay bars up and down the Country every weekend with each other in the bar for many months without a word of concern about it, until their pay checks stopped perhaps.

Sometimes what appears shocking in a black and white tribunal may not be all it seems on the face of it I’m guessing.
