US radio host, Bryan Fischer, has claimed that if Americans stopped and thought about gay sex, 90% of the population would find it disgusting.

Fischer was defending San Antonio Politician, Elisa Chan after she made comments saying that gay people are “disgusting” and that “homosexual people shouldn’t do adoption” because it would confuse children.

Defending her own comments, Chan said: “Political correctness will not win this day; standing firm as an individual in service to the whole community does. I stand strong in my First Amendment right to freedom of speech and our right to privacy.”

“I know that many people find the comments made in the meeting offensive, but again, it was a confidential meeting set in the privacy of my office where none of us are supposed to worry about what we say. These meetings have been and always will be a free-speech zone.”

Fischer defended the politician by saying that the comments she made were only things anyone would say about homosexuality if they were thinking “rightly and clearly.”

Continuing, he went onto say that “she had nothing to apologise for” and if 90% of the population “stopped and thought about it they would find homosexual sexual behaviour disgusting and abhorrent.”

Bryan Fischer who is the Director of Issues Analysis at the anti-gay American Family Association, has become known for his anti-gay rhetoric.

Earlier in the week he described homosexual sex “as having the same risks as drugs.” He went onto say that homosexual couples couldn’t have children so they had to “buy them.”

PinkNews readers sometimes ask why it is that PinkNews reports on the latest vile outbursts by God Hates Fags organisers, the Westboro Baptist Church, or the most recent ludicrous and illogical statement by US radio personalities such like Linda Harvey

PinkNews founder Benjamin Cohen recently reflected on the importance of coverage on personalities such as Harvey, saying that by making the comments they do, they actually do a service to the LGBT community.
