  1. 1. He should have used the current coat of arms at least, USSR has been gone for two decades by now, hammer and sickle are not exactly up to date.

    2. Humiliating is bad, so let’s humiliate?

Don’t forget that homosexuality was criminalized under the Communists who used the hammer and sickle as their logo. Stalin outlawed it 17 years after Lenin decriminalized it and it remained illegal in Russia until 1992. 13 of the 15 former Soviet Republics have since legalized gay sex, the only exceptions being Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

  2. A worthy effort, and I would hope that some percentage of the profit raised from the sale of men’s briefs and the calendar would go to Russian LGBT organizations.

  3. So, how will this work, exactly?

Homosexual men of Europe are expected to rush out and snap up these boxers, are they?

And then they tootle home and put them on, and then, of course, put on their jeans.

Who sees a protest going on?

    Who benefits?

    1. At 65 Euros each, these are not exactly a bargain. Also, there is no current posted indication of any support or benefit to any Russian LGBT organizations on the website. It appears the intended buyer is a well-to-do Russian LGBT who wishes to make a statement of defiance!

  4. How on earth does this humiliate Putin?

It’s just someone trying to cash in on the whole affair – pathetic.

  5. I am surprised @chris hasn’t commented yet on this one.

Then again he could be busy “doing” something else or maybe he has collapsed from heat stroke and dehydration…rofl

Sorry Chris…just playing around with you.

    1. Are you referring to moi? I was having a good night out. I’m sorry I’d that’s the case.

    2. Oi, I’ll have you know I’m a Vestal Virgin who only has lure thoughts.

Nah who am I kidding, I’m a filthy slag. I have a better idea, put a picture of Putin on bog roll and wipe your arse with it.

        1. ROFL…you’re a charmer Chris

          1. Hope u made it to Tescos in time for the sale…lol

  6. I agree with some of the other comments: I like the sentiment of this campaign, but I would expect all the profit to go to support the campaign against gay abuse in Russia…

  7. It never says where the profit is going. I would buy into it if I knew it was going to actually do some good, but as it is, I’m a little suspicious.

  8. I would have thought some of those images of Putin half-naked and trying to look butch would be a bit more humiliating…But it’s a start…come Sochi next year, Putin may have discovered we queers ain’t such an easy target…

Perhaps it would be a good idea to Photoshop some pictures of Vladmir Putin shirtless in with those lads. Now that will get him into a right stooshie!

An image of Putin over the buttocks? So you can sit on it …

  9. Oh my word these are awesome!!! If I had money to spend on fancy underwear you best BELIEVE I’d be ordering a few pairs of those. The sickle and hammer ones are so cool :)

  10. At 65 Euros, you wouldn’t want to stain them! lol

  11. I sent him a note on his website to ask if there would be any proceeds going to LGBT organizations. If I get a response I will let everyone know.

  12. I’m not a communist, but I love soviet-era russian totalitarian fashion, am currently rocking a “stalin tash” and I think the sickle and hammer boxers are freakin’ awesome
