  1. It always amazes me when a group that has been so persecuted in the past are then so willing to persecute others.

I hope Armenia is denied entry into the EU.

    1. Regrettably, religion plays a role in their backward thinking that taints their culture and society.

    2. Armenia has not even been approved as a candidate. And there’s no way they can enter the EU anyway if they don’t modernize their laws.

@jake28: agreed! Just ask the Palestinians who are under a regieme that famously announced “never again”. The irony of the human race is astounding…

  3. The best way to help LGBT communities in Armenia, Ukraine and other post-soviet countries is to ACCEPT them into EU. This way you can at least start making positive change in those countries. Grab them and lead them away from the influence of their “big brother” – Pussia.

    1. agree, that means Armenia will follow EU regulations and stop hate promotion, violence and intolerance

    2. Yes Hopefully …. I don’t want to face those homophobes in my country and i want tolerate that. …..
I Am Armenian I can’t believe this. This is so sad

  4. Besides, This would really piss Pussia off.. It’s definitely worth it :D

Armenia is the last European country to decriminalize homosexuality (unless you count the Turkish Republic Of Northern Cyprus which is not officially recognised). In fact their Muslim neighbours, Azerbaijan legalized gay sex before Armenia did!
Social attitudes towards gays cannot change overnight and you probably only have to look at attitudes in this country in 1977, ten years after our own decriminalization.
Unfortunately religion is holding Armenia back and that country, along with Georgia are conservatively Christian in an otherwise Muslim neighbourhood.
