  1. So Fingall If ‘Aids is a punishment’ for engaging in Gay Sex – how come 38 million world wide are living with HIV – They ain’t ALL Gay! Moron

    1. dangermouse 15 Aug 2013, 11:18pm

AIDs is a punishment for being stupid

      1. Your “punishment” is overdue!

        1. dangermouse 16 Aug 2013, 7:48am

What I meant was, you can avoid AIDs by using condoms, if you don’t your asking for it !

          1. Jock S. Trap 16 Aug 2013, 12:24pm

An people with HIV can avoid AIDS by making sure they keep up to date with their medication.

Very few people will die from AIDS nowadays.

Using AIDS like this is just ignorance.

    2. Why would you dignify such idiocy. Talking to a fool only make you more stupid

    3. Somebody needs to send this ignorant man a copy of Father Jack Dominian’s excellent book “Proposals for a New Sexual Ethic”, which discusses in detail the fact that “the anus” is indisputably a sexual organ.

      http://www.abebooks.co.uk/book-search/title/proposals-for-a-new-sexual-ethic/author/dominian-jack/sortby/3/page-1/

  2. David Ward 15 Aug 2013, 7:45pm

he’s right……for instance words only come out of his anus

  3. Does this sort of thing pass as intelligent comment in the Barbados press? I fervently hope not.

    1. On the other hand, it is totally normal for Mac Fingall to be talking out of his arse.
As a creationist “entertainer” he sings out of his arse too… well you gotta get a gimmiick to attract attention and publicity when your “talent” itself is insufficient.

    2. Sister Mary Clarence 16 Aug 2013, 8:17am

I found it quite enlightening to be honest.

If the Queen is Head Of State out there, it is very clear to me that she needs to invest in some education for the locals.

Frankly its cruel to allow them to be running around as stupid as this. I think she’s really let her eye off the ball on this one.

      The poor little fvckers.

      1. Last time I check we were just as intelligent as the english same system ,every one has their views we don’t share yours this is our country we believe in god not the queen

    3. well much more than the crap i see over there

  4. Really who cares what this non-entity says?

    1. well thousands of good people in barbados cares a lot of what he has to say this is a barbados thing not uk not usa not european just but out pal stay in your filthy world

  5. Who is this nobody? Why is this relevant? I can quite categorically confirm by personal experience that the anus is not for exit only.

    1. He is the worlds foremost expert on the sphincter muscle. Can he explain then why most residents in nursing homes have to wear incontinence pads?

Have they all had anal sex? Or does his theory fall apart a bit there?

    2. Mac Fingal talks out of his.

    3. Well the only nobody is you he is an icon in barbados something you can only dream of being in where ever you come from . Only some one illiterate would say the anal is for more than exit

  6. PantoHorse 15 Aug 2013, 8:00pm

Good grief. This is the kind of thing I used to hear here in the 80s. My Dad was a “god’s disease for gay people” nut (thankfully he has moved on masses since then) and I remember kids in the school playground talking about gay people and nappies. Blimey, this bloke really needs an education.

    1. Yeah, at school in the 1980s one of the homophobic nicknames I regularly got was “AIDS victim”, even teachers participated. One girl was obsessed by calling me that and she would actually warn teachers not to go near me. I remember one teacher standing in front of us and saying “oh, do you think I might catch something?” in response to the girl. “Oh yes Miss, he’s got AIDS”. The teacher chuckled.

The guy in the article is a retired school teacher. No doubt he made his opinions clear to the kids he taught. I can just picture my experience also happening to a young gay person in one of his classes. Homophobia against gay kids over a sustained period of time is just as cruel, wicked and harmful as child sex abuse, yet it’s still seen as being acceptable for children and teenagers at school to experience such abuse.

  7. Robert in S. Kensington 15 Aug 2013, 8:04pm

The sort of crap that our troll Keith thrives on. What is the obsession with anal sex among these demented religious freaks? How does he account for the rising number of HIV cases among African heteros and in other emerging nations. They’re all engaging in anal sex? NOT!

Another hell hole that should be booted from the Commonwealth. Cut off all aid too.

    1. Barbados a hellhole?! Don’t think so. Paradise on earth is what a lot call it.

So this guy tells the truth about the dangers of anal sex-he’s not even MORALISING about it, just pointing out the dangers of it, and we all know that anal sex (for same sex and opposite sex couples) is not without dangers and you want to cut aid to the place?

      Petulant behaviour on your part.

      1. presenting made up facts is not what one regards as telling the truth

    2. I would be surprised (and annoyed) if Barbados got aid as it is a tax haven.

      1. You’re probably right, twitless, I just can’t stand the automatic shout of ‘cut off aid’ from some here: yeah, let’s make the really poor suffer for the views of a daft few.
Pointing out that anal sex is not particularly healthy isn’t necessarily homophobia if this guy says it about STRAIGHT couples who do it, too.

        1. ‘… “It should now be clear that the sexual activity between “same-sexes” or homosexuals is not normal.”…’

so where in the article he reserves his critique for heterosexual couples engaging in anal sex?

          1. You’re right, there: given that anal sex usually requires fake lube and other preparation for BOTH opposite and same sex couples-no difference between the rectum of anybody gay or straight, it would have been fairer to say that it’s not particularly healthy for anybody.

People may discuss the impact on the body of it; but it would not be homophobia to say that it can have a negative impact regardless of the gender of the people carrying it out.

That said, it’s not really an issue to moralise over if the act is between consenting adults.

          2. lubricant is often used in vaginal sex too so your argument is biased

  8. Mumbo Jumbo 15 Aug 2013, 8:10pm

“….The anus is made for exit only….”

The number one porn search by straight men is “anal” and the number one use for strap-on dildos is women using them to penetrate their male partners.

This guy needs to get out more.

    1. I think his sphincter may be so well sealed that he is just full of cr*ap.

  9. His medical knowledge is not up to very much, nor his biology, and his attitudes appear distinctly catholic with all that complementarity an’ all, and the grasp of world affairs and history, abysmal.
Over all I would say it a good thing he is a RETIRED school teacher.
Then, of course if he was at all knowledgeable about the subject he purports to write about he would not be making claims about the downfall of humanity because everyone is about to turn to butt sex, and extinction beacons.
With 7 billion and counting! Then of course he would also know too that science research has indicated that the proportion of gay people has not varied much from the bit less than 8% that its always been, as sexuality is innate it cannot spread willy-nilly so to speak.

Then again maybe Mr.Fingall is most likely an ill-informed bigot.

    1. He was a gym teacher!

    2. willy – haha

  10. I love the whole “my ass is just for sh!tting” argument… what’s the prostate for then big man? Plus I fall in love with boys, everything else is just gravy; these kind of men can’t think of anything other than sex sex and more sex !

  11. and the straight people who get aids are being punished for anal sex as well im guessing, and babies born with it are being punished for what exactly?

  12. Like heteros don’t do it from behind ? Give me a freaking break , this guy is an asshole , no wonder Caribbean islands with the exception of Saba and saint Barth keep on loosing money from tourism , I hope the gay community stops visiting them !

  13. so don’t straight people have anal intercourse? Its a shame all your comments exit from your ar** you backward moron.

it the very people like you who help the spread of AIDS because people are scarred to come forward

  14. Dickhead.

  15. The fact that this ignorant man was once a “teacher” tells us a lot about the educational standards of Barbados, and perhaps why their laws are still so draconian.

The man knows f*ck all about science, that much is absolutely clear.

It seems the people he wrote for had no problem printing his factually incorrect and religiously insane article either – another example of why their country is so backward.

    1. Attack Jackass Mac Fingall all you want, but kindly refrain from attacking our education system. Our laws are inherited from England and therein lies their draconian heritage. Draconian laws mixed with a religiousness also inherited from England lead to slow almost non existent contemporary adjustment. Any backwards-ness that we have is largely the result of a colonial history not yet 50 years past.

He taught PE by the way, he is not an academic.

He has be responded to in the same publication (terrible publication btw) and has been set straight, pardon the pun.

Attack the man’s foolish sentiment, not my country’s education system.

      1. “Any backwards-ness that we have is largely the result of a colonial history not yet 50 years past.”

That is a long time to make changes. Will Barbadians still be saying that in another 50 years, and 50 years after that?

The “backwardness” may be more to do with victim culture. Just move on and show us what you can do.

      2. There are a lot of places on this Earth that have managed to move on, but Barbados hasn’t. Whether you agree or not, this is directly correlated to the educational standards of a country. The youth are not being educated properly, they are being failed, and therefore the insanity continues.
In a real educational system and a genuinely free society homophobia, racism, sexism and every other abuse of a minority evaporates. This can even be done in one generation.
There are no excuses, the bigotry of a nation is a direct result of failed education and poor social freedoms.

    2. You obviously know nothing about Barbados or its educational system or governance do your own research before spewing nonsense yourself. That man was a gym teacher. He’s speaking for himself not on behalf of all Barbadians. Please go educate yourself and stop showcasing your own ignorance and lack of education.

  16. What drivel. Besides, HIV is primarily a heterosexual disease in the Caribbean islands so for a former teacher, he’s not very well informed. Why would anyone care what this nobody from nowhere has to say?

  17. What a “piece of” …..expletive…Maybe he should spend some time, in the penal colony….

  18. Ryan Jaymes 15 Aug 2013, 9:50pm

perhaps the “teacher” should take a read of this article (http://www.theaidsinstitute.org/node/259) in which it states that HIV originally came from African chimps and then was spread into the human population.

He goes on about the anus (funny an anus talking about an anus) and how having sex in that way is an abnormal act….. so is having sex with animals but people do it and yet it is not as frowned upon or wrote about nearly as much as two CONSENTING HUMAN same sex couples having sex.

This guy seriously needs to go back to school.

    1. From memory it also got to America from the Caribbean?

  19. Derek Williams 15 Aug 2013, 9:54pm

While gay men are significantly over-represented in the West, where HIV/AIDS first appeared and has so far largely been able to be contained, latest statistics of the pandemic published by UNAIDS in Nov 2010 show 68% of HIV to be in sub-Saharan Africa, the region carrying the greatest burden of the epidemic. While it is generally accepted that men are more promiscuous than women, so men with men would at first result in higher overall infection rate, gay women are the lowest HIV risk in the world; therefore it is unsafe sexual practice, not orientation that is at the heart of the problem.

    http://www.avert.org/worldstats.htm

Of 33.3 million living with HIV, 15.9 million are women and 2.5 million are children, so globally it’s not exactly a ‘gay disease’. Heterosexuality does not confer immunity from HIV/AIDS. Even in the West it will eventually be evenly distributed, irrespective of sexual orientation.

  20. yeah we get we all going to hell the earth will end BLAH BLAH BLAH. NOW PISS OFF YOU IGNORAMUS

  21. Is this guy for real? I suspect he was sacked not retired. with his inaccurate retarded views. It is amazing he was ever allowed to teach.

  22. Yes, sweetie, and the mouth is made for eating only. I hope your wife is happy that you’ve never kissed her.

    1. That’s also why the guy talks out of his arse Rehan.

  23. I see some troll has been “thumbing down” all the comments.

Never mind, I’ve thumbed them all back up again.

  24. This homophobe does not represent the Balkan people. Barbados will decriminalise homosexuality soon. We have been going to that island for the last 20 years. We have a Vila there and all the locals are friendly and treat us like any other marked couple. Gay marriage debate is already underway. Put it this way the islanders know that tourism is there only industry and let’s be honest us queens run the global travel business!

    1. Meant Bajan, damn predictive text!

  25. “AIDS is punishment for engaging in gay sex” claims the black “columnist” and “retired school teacher”!

I mention his colour, because there are millions of black heterosexual people in Africa with AIDS.

Perhaps he’d like to say that to their faces, because his statement indicates that they must be pretending to be heterosexual and are actually gay.

Uganda is a perfect country for him to visit and repeat his statement to heterosexual AIDS sufferers. They probably wouldn’t take his comments kindly considering the popular view of gay people in that country!

    1. Actually American fundamentalist missionaries bringing this man’s mindset to African countries like Uganda have been warmly welcomed.

  26. Well, nice to see that hatred, discrimination and just plain IGNORANCE are alive and well in Barbados!

    1. Seems to me he doth protest to much.
The straight clown is a bit involved with the sphincter muscle.

  27. ‘the individual whose sphincter muscle is not functioning as it should now has to wear diapers’

I was at my local gay bar the other night and was wondering why so many men were in diapers..

Reading articles like these make me realize some people have a real lack of education and common sense.

  28. James Savik 16 Aug 2013, 2:12am

AIDS is because a blood products company purchased blood from infected Hatians in the sixties and seventies and shipped it all over the world. To get the real science story, read “Spillover” by David Quammen.

    1. Yeah it woz de blicks dat did it. You’re as bad as him

  29. Mac Fingall does not represent the views of all of Barbados. Think of him like Rush Limbaugh, loud and ill informed but not representative of the intelligent side of the population. Here is a response by another Barbadian, Dr Adrian Charles which was published by the same news outlet a few days later.

    excerpt:
“That said, I do think it important to defend homosexual people against mistreatment on the basis of their sexual orientation; and I think it crucially important for us all to recognise and correct false statements where they occur. “

  30. Another suck-faced creationist “Christian” homophobe and fantasist spreading his lies and anti-gay misinformation.
He is clearly trying to match up reality to a dubious interpretation of scripture and is prepared to invent his own “facts” to try and make that match.
Why is he so obsessed with anal sex?
Why does he not understand the fact of evolution and insist that a great engineer “designed” everything?
It must be because he’s a creationist loon.

  31. If I was a parent whose kids had been taught by this anal-sex obsessed teacher, I’d be very worried. This man should not be allowed anywhere near children!

  32. Ah the old anal sex thing again.

Considerably less than half of gay people engage in anal sex. Last time I checked it wasn’t the go to for lesbians, and many many gay men dont do it either.

Straight men seem obsessed with it.

  33. What an ugly man that is…..

  34. The hand wasn’t designed to accept the penis so masturbation must be unnatural. Same goes for the mouth and blow jobs.

  35. Who would dignify that comment with a response. Aim higher pink news editors. I can’t keep comming back to the same hysterical nonsense that means nothing to anyone with an education

  36. I wonder if he thinks that being of a black origin, they should still give up their places for white people or even not attend a university. Oh, yes, I was born this way, the same way you were born black. Please don’t think I’m being recist, apart from it, I’m just trying to put my message across and say we are born as we are.

  37. I’m wondering whether one of these days Pink News will just run with “My uncle’s next door neighbour says…gays are bad mmkay.” This isn’t journalism Pink News.

    1. That There Other David 16 Aug 2013, 11:12am

Yet if your uncle’s next door neighbour was a published newspaper columnist and in a position to influence public opinion that in turn can influence public policy then it would be right for Pink News to run a piece on his publishing of anti-gay ignorance in his column.

      Hence why this article appears.

  38. Misguided interpretation of these verses have done more to form Christians’ negative opinion of homosexuality than any other single passage in the Bible.

Romans 1:26-27: “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence [sic] of their error which was meet.”

    1. You are such a closed minded idiot, Paul in Romans is describing sacred Pagan worship, it entailed having sex with the guardian priests and priestesses of the temple because it was believed they were the embodiment of the Pagan God being worshipped and it was a way of becoming closer to their God.
I imagine Pagans having sex with a same sex priest or priestess may not be seen as cheating on their heterosexual partners in those times, nobody can know for sure certainly not yourself.
I don’t know why you assume these people were repulsed by same sex ritual acts, these people were devout pagans going about a common form of worship in those times, these particular Pagans had rejected the new Christian religion Paul was trying to establish and he was furious about that and was trying to mock their form of worship.
However, the primary message contained in the scripture of Romans is that one should not judge others. Take heed

  39. Some Christians interpret the passage differently. They note that the persons involved in the Pagan orgy were former Christians, and were heterosexual. Romans 1 condemns them because they went against their nature — their heterosexual orientation — and engaged in same-gender sexual behavior. By the same reasoning, lesbians and gays who went against their fundamental nature — their homosexual orientation — and engaged in opposite-gender sexual behavior would also be sinning.

      1. Ben Foster 16 Aug 2013, 1:12pm

i think Paul was a miserable prude who didn’t like anyone enjoying ANYTHING.

      2. Please stop wasting your time, Keith. We really don’t give a toss about the opinions of a renegade first century Jew who founded a heretical cult around an invisible spirit called ‘Christ’ based on an apocalyptic rabbi called Jesus who would in fact have found such beliefs baffling or shocking; and who thought the world was going to end even before he had finished writing his deranged drivel (Paul, that is. Jesus also seems to have thought the whole shebang was wrapping up pronto, but he seems not to have written anything. One could speculate what it might be….’Oy vay, what the hell are these mad goyim saying about me?…’

  40. The British Empire sure has a lot to answer for!

    1. Jock S. Trap 16 Aug 2013, 12:23pm

Using the British Empire after all this time is a very lame excuse.

When Britain has Equality in Marriage set, their is Nothing stopping other countries but themselves and I think you’ll find it’s those countries that are at fault.

  41. dont knock it till you’ve tried it sister.

  42. Torpedo falsehood 16 Aug 2013, 12:11pm

    That’s amazing…your stuopidity that is.
To concoct a story whereby true heterosexuals , who would be repulsed, by homosexual sex, would willingly, under no compulsion, have homosexual sex with other males, risking God’s divine wrath and death, not to mention the difficulty of arousal and erection. This is your fantasy story (no doubt to salve your own conscience as most twisters of scrpipture aim to do) so, plaese explain their motive for having sex that would repulse them?
Since you claim the sin was having sex against their orientation, no doubt you can also provide biblical examples of homosexuals being put to death for having sex against orientation? I await those scriptures (snigger).

  43. Jock S. Trap 16 Aug 2013, 12:21pm

He is of course uneducated since AIDS in the western world is now, thankfully not common.

Sadly not so in developing countries mind, the black community he is willing to ignore. Racist much?

Why have too many people not learnt the difference between HIV and AIDS?

I know they just use AIDS as an insult but it really does show them up for being completely uneducated idiots.

To use it so nastily shows the minute they use such arguments, the minute their arguments fail.

  44. .....Paddyswurds 16 Aug 2013, 12:57pm

It is good that this ignorant moron is retired because children should not be exposed to such willful ignorance. How does he account for the fact that millions of straight people most of them on the African continent are dying of AIDS every day. Billions of poor straight people worldwide use anal sex as a form of contraception because they cannot afford the exorbitant prices charged for condoms and the Pill in their countries, along with the ignorantrules of their religions that say contraception is wrong and “causes” AIDS. The heads of the worlds biggest and richest paedophile ring, the Roman catholic church, Pope Frank and Ratzi the Naz1 Benny the 16th have declared that condoms doesn’t protect from AIDS. Ingorance of this magnitude is what is e tragedy that is AIDS world wide especially among the very poorest!!!

  45. This article was responded to by a doctor who is an ally http://www.nationnews.com/articles/view/reconsidering-abnormal-behaviour/

  46. Just another idiot talking out of his exit !!

  47. I hope this guy isn’t a doctor because his knowledge of the human body is comparable only to Doctor Zoidberg’s

  48. And God has a special place to punish those who use his name to condemn, abuse, and discriminate as this pathetic man does.
He has no idea who or what God stands for when he makes unfounded and hateful statements like he has.
Shame on him and God will take his vengeance out on the douche-bag.

    1. GOD you Dick Doesn’t exist and you speaking for a non existant Deity makes you as backward as this Dickhead Barbadian

  49. If “the anus is made for exit only” why hasn’t he left?

  50. Not worth discussing and well said Lee

  51. Tony in Seattle 16 Aug 2013, 9:21pm

How is it that Fingall gets attention for being stupid????

  53. ‘ “The sphincter muscle, which is an involuntary muscle, is designed to snap shut so tightly that nothing can pass – not even the slightest seepage’

This idiot has obviously never suffered the after effects of ten pints of real ale followed by a dodgy kebab!
If what he says was even remotely true then why would we need underpants? And why was there a group called ‘Mark Skid and the Y Fronts’,,,??

  54. The brain is for thinking only – so why is this tosser disobeying natural law in this

  55. Frank Boulton 20 Aug 2013, 12:36pm

He said, “The sphincter muscle, which is an involuntary muscle…” So, how is it that we don’t all need to wear diapers or butt plugs all of the time?
