  1. Is it true the event organiser was stopping muslims coming to pride and stopping them at the gate?

I cant believe it. its sic kening. pride is supposed to be all about love and expetence i am writing to th council about this.

I’m sure that is a unfounded rumour Tina. I attended said event and there was no evidence for that what so ever.

I was disappointed with this years Stoke Pride for two reasons. The first being that I believe that pride has lost its way as a protest for solidarity. Considering the heightened political tensions and emphasis in recent months on human rights abuses in Russia, there was no mention, what so ever, at this particular event. Pride IS a protest and should have less of a focus on ‘getting smashed’.

In other news, the weather held out and this article does the event justice. Great article.
