  1. Did you know that the word ‘genocide’ was invented to describe what happened to the Armenian people at the hand of the Turks during the closing days of the Ottoman Empire

Clearly the proposers of this law are utterly moronic and have learned nothing from history.

Great news. Sanity has been restored in Armenia.

What this really shows is why vigilance is required at the moment. The Russian state and its Orthodox Church allies are trying to sneak anti-LGBT legislation into every one of its one-time satellite countries. What is occurring in the Baltic nations and Ukraine is heavily Russian influenced, as I believe this proposal was.

Keep watching and keep lobbying our politicians to make a noise when these draft laws appear. We can turn this tide.

Armenia doesn’t need any influence from the Russian Orthodox church. It’s own orthodox cult is just as bad and evil. These countries should be isolated as pariah nations, diplomatic relations severed, economic sanctions imposed.

  3. Words are not enough.

Trade sanctions against the fascist regime in Russia are necessary at this point.

Anything less is collaboration with fascism.
