  1. So, an evangelical christian who is a hysterical, ignorant, bigoted nitwit?

In other news, water is wet.

  2. Robert in S. Kensington 2 Aug 2013, 6:09pm

I bet you anything he’s a deeply closeted self-loather. He’s far too loud-mouthed and obsesses more than most about gay people and our sex lives not to be. Being a religious zealot is yet another trait.

  3. Homosexualist? Really? What on Earth does that even mean?

    Not-ist that-ist anybody-ist would-ist understand-ist Scott-ist Lively-ist, but-ist nobody-ist really-ist cares-ist what-ist he-ist has-ist to-ist say-ist either-ist.

News just in. Adding “-ist” to the end of a word doesn’t really add anything, instead it takes away any meaning that people would understand.

    1. It’s one that so called ‘therapist’ Lesley Pilkington used before she lost her professional accreditation with the BACP for her phoney ‘ex-gay’ therapy.

Needless to say, she was probably singing the standard script of the christian legal centre and as with most things they get their grubby mitts on, it was a resounding failure – just like peter saunders saying he was ‘homosceptic’ because he didn’t like being called homophobic.

      If the cap fits…

    2. It just means Homosexual – but used as a noun – so what this pathetic human being is trying to say is nonsense – no surprise there then! –

Why do these backward fools always rant about Our lives – who are they to tell other humans how to live?

    3. A homosexualist is someone who obsesses over homosexuality, such as Scott Lively.

  4. Speak out all you want sir, you’ll get yours. One day you will be charged with inciting genocide before an international court, so make the most of the freedom you have left. We will come for you…

    Mr. Pink

  5. For most of the salient stuff you need to know about this little irk, take a look at:

  6. Quite the homophobiaist and illiteratist isn’t he?

    1. He is certainly a religionist. A word I do like as it does sum up all believers and their apologists too.

  7. bobbleobble 2 Aug 2013, 7:18pm

I never understand these fundamentalist Christians. He says that endorsing homosexual conduct is bringing about the end days. Shouldn’t he be happy about that and be encouraging it since he must be certain that he’s going to get raptured. So why isn’t he rejoicing at the progress in gay rights?

    1. Probably because he’s gay and deep in the closet.

    2. It’s getting “raptured” he is afraid of. We know what would send him into rapture.

      1. I think it might have something to do with the fact that supposedly when the rapture comes, those that get raptured get raptured right out of their clothes and he doesn’t like to look down in the shower, let alone relish the prospect of going up to heaven naked.
There again I would probably pay Scott Lively good money to keep his clothes on.

Wait . . . If a biologist, for example, is a person devoted to biology, a psychologist to psychology, and a meteorologist to meteorology, wouldn’t Scott Lively be the homosexualist? He is not only devoted to homosexuality, he is consumed and obsessed by it.

Others, such as Peter LaBarbera, Linda Harvey, Matt Barber, and Laurie Higgins, are all homosexualists.

In terms of theological arguments Lively is anything but an intellectual, not even the Pope, this one or the last, said you can’t be gay and Christian. Whilst some Evangelicals are intellectuals and well aware that the current Evangelical position is untenable, and morally bankrupt, most stick to literal interpretation, and made-up hole-filling. Creationism is one such bankrupt hole-filler – and surely better to leave the hole that everybody acknowledges than invent something which is a provable lie to cover up something which can be explained away as allegorical. The next problem is interpreting the Bible as literal truth, because it contains so many errors, provable errors, and forgeries, provable forgeries, that this makes Evangelical’s ‘literal’ theological beliefs the least credible of all the interpretations.

Besides, Lively is both a liar, a fraud and a tosser.

    1. justusboyz 2 Aug 2013, 8:15pm

Eloquently put , the last paragraph particularly!

    1. Bobbleobble 2 Aug 2013, 8:07pm

      Shouldn’t that be cretinist?

      1. justusboyz 2 Aug 2013, 8:17pm

Fortunately we dont have to make words up like that Monster, but hes spent his life making up rubbish so nothing new

  10. Scott Lively is quite a piece of work.

  11. Guglielmo Marinaro 2 Aug 2013, 8:51pm

Scott Lively claims that no-one in the world knows more about homosexuality – or should that be homosexualism? – than he does. The man is profoundly ignorant and full of obsessive hate for gays. The only excuse for him is that he is probably psychologically disturbed. Look up his ridiculous book “The Pink Swastika” on Amazon for more info.

    1. It’s always possible he knows more about homosexuality than he lets on, just not in the way he wants us to think he does.

  12. Who cares what this Santa Clause look alike has to say?

  13. Oliver216 2 Aug 2013, 9:53pm

This is the guy who helped inspire the “Kill the Gays” Bill in Uganda after he and two other Evangelicals staged a three day conference on “the gay agenda — that whole hidden and dark agenda”: the threat gay people apparently pose to Bible-based values and the traditional African family, how gay men sexually assault teenage boys to “recruit” them, how the evil gay movement seeks to turn marriage based society into a culture of promiscuity, that gays were “probably” involved in the Rwandan Genocide etc, etc. Thousands of people attended these talks, including police officers, teachers and politicians.

A month later, a virtually unknown politician, who coincidentally claimed to have evangelical friends in the US government, introduced the Anti-Homosexuality Bill, which has hugely exacerbated the already endemic homophobia in Uganda. Scott Lively should in prison in my opinion for his part in that bill and for the general climate he has aided in creating. That or a psychiatric unit…

    1. A psychiatric unit within a prison perhaps?

  14. By using the word “homosexualist” I take it that he means pro-gay. Seems that he has much in common with Mugabe. He also seems to have no idea of reality. There are gay Christians (I’m not, btw) – it’s an inconvenient fact for him. Though, it appears by the comments on another discussion here that it’s an inconvenient fact for some of us. None/many of us may not understand why a gay person could possibly be Christian because of recent homophobia coming from Christian churches, but the fact is that there are some gay people who believe in their God, a God that will treat them as equal in ‘heaven’; a God that wants them to be equal on earth. They believe in a God that isn’t phobic! They have a ‘relationship’ with their God, but not particularly with their church though they conform to the standard Christian behaviour of belonging to a particular religion and going to a particular church.

We may think they are misguided, but they don’t deserve us treating them like Lively does.

  15. Mihangel apYrs 2 Aug 2013, 10:28pm

this man is pure hate and evil.

Aligned nicely with Russia and Uganda, and anyone else who would incinerate us, he epitomises the dark side of Xianity, and the side that is louder in its demands.

His death would cleanse a sewer

  16. Their is no such thing as a “Gay Christian” in the same vein their is no such thing as a Christian who hates!

  17. He’s onto something. Antonin Scalia is the queen of the homosexualists.

  18. The unlovely Lively comes across as a bit of a homosexualistist.

  19. Scott Lively, an American conservative activist largely credited for inspiring legislation in Uganda that would impose the death penalty on homosexuals, praised the Russian legislation on his website, writing, “I can’t point to any country of the world today that is a model for the rest of the world, except perhaps for Russia, which has just taken the very important and frankly necessary step of criminalizing homosexual propaganda to protect the society from being ‘homosexualzed [sic].’” In 2007, Lively traveled across Russia on a 50-city tour, during which he recommended the very measures included in the Russian bill. Lively is the author of a book entitled “The Pink Swastika,” which argues that German Nazism was a gay conspiracy.

This nutjob belongs to a closed mental facility. He is bringing harm and death to people because he is crazy.

  21. It’s pretty amazing, the facility the bigoted right wing has for inventing new words on the spur of the moment.

    What exactly is a “homosexualist”?

    1. Beelzeebub 4 Aug 2013, 3:29am

They hope that their made up words “catch on” with the mentality of their dwindling followers, knowing full well that as WE enter into the mainstream and gain majority acceptance there old, now publicly, politically and legally unacceptable words of abuse now shines a light on them and denigrates them as the bigots that they are.

They think that re-wording there bile makes it OK.

Never forget this name. One day, many years from now, Uganda, Russia and Zimbabwe will realize how wrong they have been. We need to remember this war criminal’s name, and when the time is right, bring him to justice. He incited genocide, the single worst crime against humanity, and this should not be forgotten. Even if he is 99 years old, he needs to be brought to justice.

We cannot let these genocidal lunatics get away with what they have done.

When the time is right, we will get you.

    Mr. Pink

  23. What hapend to good old fashioned evangelical Christianity/ it was proclaim the good news that Christ had cone and died that all might be forgiven thier sins. he didn’t come that some judgemental group shouls besmitch Christ’s name by obsession with one issue
