  1. “At the end of June, tennis star Martina Navratilova, will join London Mayor Boris Johnson in taking place in a week-long schedule of events.”
    Erm, it’s August now…….

  2. This is great but it is sad that there is no mention of bisexual athletes or trans athletes even though two people quoted in the article included the familiar LGBT acronym and then expanded it only to include “Lesbian and Gays.” Once again the Bs and Ts are included in the acronym and erased in the reality. Maybe someone from the Hall of Fame could clarify why they chose their name to exclude the Bs and the Ts?

    1. “Athletes featured in the hall of fame will include … tennis legends Billie Jean King, Martina Navratilova and Renee Richards.”

Renee Richards is a trans woman.

  3. Great, maybe now more athletes will have the balls to come out for the greater good now there’s a shiny hall of fame plaque as an incentive !

    Mr. Pink

This is wonderful progress that we can be proud of. By living our lives out of the closet we are seen for what we are…just good ordinary talented supportive, loving people just like all the others on the planet.

It has taken time and we still have much to do but with the help of educated people others will live good lives as well.

    Well done the US.

Ben Cohen would be the most impressive rugby guy of all time. And he is so so cute as well.

Yes, I am a great fan of Ben Cohen mainly because of his humanitarianism with regard to LGBTI issues. Like you say, he is seriously cute, which he must know, but is humble, generous and confident enough about his own sexuality not to be worried about being ogled by us gay men.

Does anyone know why he has taken up the LGBTI cause? There are many other worthy causes out there, many of which are more fashionable than the LGBTI e.g. kids in hospital, cancer, animals etc. It could be just the worthiness of our cause, but there are usually oher reasons that drew his attention to us in the first place. If anyone knows, please post a reply.

  6. It can’t just be ‘to honour gay and lesbian sportspeople’ then if Ben Cohen is going to be an inductee. Still, he is a really lovely man and humanitarian.

Okay…really pissed off… Ben Cohen is not gay… he does stuff on bullying because his dad was killed at a school some years back. As for gay rights, he abuses our community by getting his kit off all the time… and we fall for it. he uses men’s infatuation with a fit sporty st8 guy to sell calendars etc.

Fair point but he is so lovely! Something about the sweaty rugby socks…….
