  1. Keep in mind that this bloke is so stupid that he doesn’t understand how tides work (and thought everyone else was as dumb as him).

So no, I don’t suppose he understands that the Constitution is supposed to cover everyone, not just the ones he and the Party of Stupid approve of. But then I’m amazed he understands which foot each shoe goes on….

    1. Actually, he’s not stupid; he just pretends to be stupid so he can establish a proper rapport with his utterly moronic audience. Also, these opinions are not his own; he just says what Fox News tells him to say. Guests on his programme have confirmed that he’s perfectly reasonable and articulate off-camera, but behaves like a boorish clod when the cameras are rolling. It’s all an act.

      1. But the fact that he’s willing to ‘act’ like that suggests he’s stupid.

        1. Hear, hear. Making your living by acting like an a*hole means you are an a*hole. The man can say what he likes, the endgame is that his viewpoint is not in the ascendency.

Polygamy and polyamory won’t be the end of the world either. Holy f*ck. People need to tend to their own business and leave others be as long as no harm is coming to anyone.

So, we Christians were right all along about homosexual ‘marriage’ leading to polygamy? Thanks for clearing that up. CULTURAL VANDAL!!!

      1. Commander Thor 18 Jul 2013, 10:03pm

        ISLAMOPHOBIA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Several times alarmist Christians are right, and the only thing they’re mistaken about is thinking it would be a bad idea. Any number 2 or greater of consent-capable, consenting adult people should be able to marry at whim, and divorce at whim (because marriage despite no consent, and no marriage despite consent, are both morally unacceptable things).

          Um…huh?

      3. I thought Christians supported “traditional, biblical marriage”. Anyone who’s read the bible knows that nothing is more traditional or biblical than polygamy. Anyone ever heard of Solomon?

Polygamy is the default marriage type in your stupid book.

        Perhaps you should read it.

    2. WOAH! Be careful there and don’t let the bigots have their ridiculous slippery slope argument validated.

We need to make the distinctions and the facts very clear here:

Polygamy is found in BACKWARD societies.

Same-sex marriage – marriage equality – is found in CIVILISED and DEVELOPED countries.

One is a backward and outdated thing which has been condemned for being a vehicle for human rights violations.

      The other creates equality.

Human rights organisations want to see the abolition of polygamy everywhere, as does the UN (and it’s abolition has been recommend by TWO binding international accords). Marriage equality on the other hand is pro-human rights measure.

It is a very simple idea that any thinking person can grasp: that EVERY INDIVIDUAL has the right to marry ONE OTHER PERSON.

Enough of the slippery slope nonsense.

The true and self-evident course of history has always been such that outdated and backward things are replaced by modern equality.

  4. I really dont get why “it could lead to polygamy” is meant to be a killer argument against same sex marriage.

Polygamy has been practiced for thousands of years in various cultures, including Christian and Islamic societies, so there can’t even be a religious argument against it.

Besides, if three or more consenting adults what to tie the knot in a polygamous marriage, whats the problem? To paraphrase Stonewall ‘if you’re opposed to polygamy, I would advice you not to enter into a polygamous marriage’.

  5. “I don’t buy into the fact that homosexuals have a constitutional right to marry. I don’t believe that, because if that were true, then pluralists would, then Mormons could have more than one — you know, all of that.”

Don’t let the 14th Amendment to the
Constitution get in your way, Bill. Your “logic” is absolutely first rate (not!).

  6. I presume this gent has some Catholic religious heritage? If so, is it surprising he is DEEPLY bigoted about gay issues? He’s best ignored – along with all other religious bigots. Before too much longer, they’ll bigot themselves into oblivion ….

  7. But polygamy is already accepted in:

    Afghanistan
    Algeria
    Australia (welfare purposes only)
    Bahrain
    Bangladesh
    Botswana
    Brunei
    Burkina Faso
    Cameroon
    Chad
    Comoros
    Congo
    Djibouti
    Egypt
    Equatorial Guinea
    Eritrea
    Ethiopia
    Gabon
    India
    Indonesia
    Iran
    Iraq
    Jordan
    Kenya
    Kuwait
    Lesotho
    Liberia
    Libya
    Malawi
    Malaysia
    Maldives
    Mali
    Mauritania
    Morocco
    Mozambique
    Myanmar
    Namibia
    New Zealand
    Niger
    Nigeria
    Oman
    Pakistan
    Palestine
    Qatar
    Saudi Arabia
    Senegal
    Sierra Leone
    Singapore
    Somalia
    South Africa
    Sri Lanka
    Sudan
    Swaziland
    Syria
    Tanzania
    The Gambia
    Togo
    UAE
    Uganda
    United Kingdom (welfare purposes only)
    Yemen
    Zambia
    Zimbabwe

    1. I won’t speak for the other countries, but polygamy is banned in Singapore except for it’s Muslim population (16%). Though polygamy even within Singapore’s Muslim community is extremely rare.

      1. Most of the countries listed above have a strong Islamic presence, hence the UK also having to recognize polygamy when it comes to issuing unemployment and child benefits.

  8. I think it’s unfair to say that he ever ‘defended’ equal marriage. He would never go that far, and he’s barely got the mental fortitude to engage the thought.

It seemed to me that he was simply lamenting the weak argument that his side was giving, rather than endorsing same sex marriage. And let’s be fair: everybody could see that it was just raving and spouting nonsense.

Perhaps that’s just me being a cynic, though.

  9. He’s like Sybil; only not as intelligent or interesting.

  10. Maybe Pink News could have a special side-section (away from real news) to feature the outpourings of American far-right fruit-loop radio hosts and clinically paranoid religious freaks. Then we could look only if we needed a good laugh, and not if in a hurry or trying to find out what is happening on planet earth.

  11. He’s on FOX. I have no doubt he is pandering to his bigoted audience and tv network producers.

According to Forbes (tinyurl.com/77xnlcq), “Results showed that viewers of Sunday morning news shows were the most informed about current events, while Fox News viewers were the least informed. In fact, FDU poll results showed they were even less informed than those who say they don’t watch any news at all.”

  12. He continually airs offensive views, changes them and then changes back and forth between the two?

That’s someone who wants media attention. Stop giving him any attention Pink News or you’ll be reporting what he changes his mind on constantly forever

This man is not important and is clearly still an idiot with a desire for publicity

  13. Barry William Teske 19 Jul 2013, 2:57pm

Can you imagine being in bed with this daddy?
    Flip flop, flip flop.
    S&M convert material perhaps?
Oh sorry, gag reflex just kicked in.

  14. michaelandfred 19 Jul 2013, 3:42pm

And heterosexual marriage was the precursor to same sex marriage, so maybe that should be illegal as well? The reality is the two have nothing to do with each other, and people are welcome to that discussion when and if it comes. But two people in a same sex marriage has about as much relevance to polygamy as polygamy does to plural heterosexual couples.

  15. GulliverUK 19 Jul 2013, 5:18pm

He’s just a weather vane – if you blow hard enough on one end it changes direction. It doesn’t have a brain, it just moved with who blows hardest at any one point.

  16. Tom Cotner 19 Jul 2013, 5:59pm

As usual, this idiot is proving that he knows nothing about which he speaks.

Most people who don’t listen to or watch Fox Noise understand this.

  17. RIDICULOUS.

Polygamy is found in BACKWARD societies.

Same-sex marriage – marriage equality – is found in CIVILISED and DEVELOPED countries.

One is a backward and outdated thing which has been condemned for being a vehicle for human rights violations.

    The other creates equality.

No thinking person would ever say otherwise.

Enough of the slippery slope nonsense.

If you look at the list posted by Adam123 you’ll see that there are several countries which recognise both polygamous and same sex marriage. Are they ‘civilised’ or ‘backward.’

Another claim made by homophobes is that they are resisting a ‘gay agenda’ imposed by western ‘imperialist’ countries which don’t respect they customs. By denouncing them as ‘Backward’ over their allowing polygamy (something which has nothing to do wih gay rights) you risk validating their claims.

  18. Just another homophobe. And Bill O’Reilly, you have no idea of what LGBT people go through so stfu.
