  4. She said it was in the tradition of British social reform, including the suffragette campaigns; she didn’t say E Pankhurst would have been proud and who knows whether she would have been.

      Emmeline Pankhurst was quite conservative when it came to relationships, she stopped speaking to her Daughter Sylvia because she refused to marry her child’s father
