  1. I also figured that the issue was one of making sure that people had the choice to marry – what they actually did with that choice was not something to be queried, nor particularly any of my business.

I get bothered when people assume that there is some sort of LGBT “hive mind” – that by virtue of our sexual orientation we all parse the world in the same way. Do I think it “crazy” that some want to marry? Of course not, no more than I think it “crazy” that some DON’T want to marry.

I do know that I’m not inclined to be judgemental, whatever choices people make. I’m just happy that they are more free to be able to make them.

    1. Ah but Valsky, we do have a “hive mind”. Bees shake their body in a “dance” to pass a message around the colony and we shake our arses to invite other men to join us in our depravity. Its how we’re going to implement our plans which are part of our New World Order.

      1. We’re part of the New World Order?!?! I haven’t recieved my membership card or my welcome hamper yet :(

        1. All you need to do is shake your tush, Pinky. :-)

The guitarist from Placebo was a guest at my cousin’s CP in London last weekend :)

    1. Oh, you sweet soul, you wanted to brag! <3 Good for you and your cousin!

Meh. I’m guessing it was either that or auditioning for I’m A Celebrity. None of the members of Placebo can be up to much these days. Oh and if you see the guitarist again can you request they keep their hands off the work of Kate Bush, their cover of Running Up That Hill was beyond awful.

      1. I thought it wasn’t bad actually although hopefully the first and last over of KBs they do..

  3. Brian Molko identifies as bisexual. Strange that this wasn’t mentioned.

Perhaps his “If gay people are crazy enough…” should be read not as assuming some kind of “gay hive mind” but as “If some other gay and bi people are crazy enough… but I’m not”. Mr Molko has. I believe, never married.

Someone forgot to tell me I should like and listen to Placebo. I’m ashamed now to say I’ve never heard of them, seeing that all LGBT people listen to them.

So, I don’t want to be left out, and I’ve listened to a few samples on Amazon, and I don’t dislike it (bit of an 80s/90s guy) – in fact I sort of got in to those few samples, so would someone who knows like to suggest an album I should think about buying?

    1. I really love their first four albums: Placebo, Without You I’m Nothing, Black Market Music, and Sleeping with Ghosts (including the covers album). Not listened to anything more recent than those. I listened to Sleeping with Ghosts a looooootttt about 10 years ago.

    2. Try going to YouTube and listening to whole songs instead of samples if they are there. I recommend –

      Nancy Boy
      I Know
      Lady of the Flowers
      Pure Morning
Allergic to Thoughts of Mother Earth
      Every You and Every Me
      Scared of Girls
      Taste in Men
      Commercial for Levi
      Slave to the Wage
      Sleeping With Ghosts
      Second Sight

Nothing from album no. five except maybe title track ‘Meds’. I really lost interest around this point.
