Users of the Google Play store searching for a Disney game featuring Mickey Mouse were surprised when search results returned included gay erotic fiction.

The Google Play store sells the Where’s My Mickey game, and temporarily returned erotic fiction advert results when users searched for the game, which is described as  introducing, “a whole new world of life-like physics-based gameplay.”

A report by CNET said the description also includes the words “mechanics” and “stimulating”, but that the results returned were all by the author Mickey Erlach, which could explain the confusion.

The report speculated that, as the app description also includes the words “stimulating”, and “mechanics”, possibly causing the confusion.

The Google Play store has now returned to normal, and related adverts no longer display the gay fiction.

Google last month added a gay easter egg, which changed the search bar into rainbow colours when certain search terms were entered, to commemorate the anniversary of the Stonewall riots.

A ‘gay cure’ Christian app was last month banned by Apple for claiming to help users ‘cure’ themselves of homosexuality, yet it remains available for download by Google Android users, despite calls for it to remove the app
