  1. Dreadful…it is as if we were living in the Middle Ages…they will want to stone or burn us next…

  2. Of the people who I know that have either elected or been sent to conversion therapy, it has been done through churches and religious groups, not psychotherapists.

The professional bodies such as BACP are all dead set against it, but the issue remains that those offering “therapy” who are not members of those organisations are to be able to do so because there is no government regulation of psychotherapy. The Health minister stated last year they had not plans to introduce any, which frankly seems perverse to me.

So yes, you’ll get some hedge witch Christian type acting without any fear of repercussion for their fraudulent and harmful bronze age voodoo.

  3. Conversion therapy is not treatment, it is abuse.

  4. Close them all down! I thought these evil institutions existed only in the Bible Belt in America but was shocked and digusted to see on the news that a Church round the corner from me was offering the same “treatment”… in Liverpool, England! Where NOBODY is even religious!
